Leaving a gas station in Old Bridge, NJ last night I had to do a double-take. Is it a Marauder? Clone?
Upon closer inspection it was a Marauder! Black '03 with a twist.....it had a black landau roof with light bars on the pillars between the driver and passenger doors!! Also had fat, chrome wheel-well moldings and rocker panels.
I met the owner. Bit of a space-cadet but seemed like a nice enough guy. Long, stringy black hair, shirt, tie and jeans. I told him about this site but he kinda just looked at me. Me thinks he ain't joinin' anytime soon. God I wish I had a picture of that 1! :mad:

I've seen a couple black MMs done up like that. Fugly... :shake:

They weren't made that way so therefore it is not a Marauder so no harm no foul.

what the heck! Does a dealership do this or do people take it upon themselves to take a big dump on their cars?

Thank you Peter......consider that the picture I would've taken! Didn't have full cloth top, just back half/landau. It was, ummm, interesting.

Reedman in Langhorne, Pa. did several half tops on blacks marauders in an attempt to "sell" them, I remember talking with one of the Reedman Brothers at the time and he said he had a "ton" of marauders and they were not selling? Discounts were very deep towards the end.

There is an old lady around here driving a all Chrome out MM looking out of place, but she drives it with pride so kudos for her. She must be like 70 years old.
I think is pretty cool

We are driving discontinued cars going on TEN YEARS OLD......the driver stereotype is changing for the worst....I'm afraid!!!:eek::shake::bigcry:

:eek: Whew, mine was the last new black one he had in August 04 and it was unmolested so I guess it's a rescue!

I disagree. Living in a summer resort area, with many "summer residents" from the orange-juice state, I see a lot of GMs and LTCs with those hideous roofs and they always have a badge or sticker on them that says: "(Something) Edition"...that smacks of dealer-installed to me.
