I was driving home tonight. While making a rolling left turn I could have sworn my steering got hard for a quick second and my altenator/battery light flashed. If it did. What and why would that happen?? Thanks in advance

What comes to mind is the belt slip causing no power steering and the alternator to stop charging the battery. Check your belt tensinor and belt

+1. Thats belt a belt issue to have the steering get hard and the alternator stop charging.

Are you guys serious suggesting its the belt? Lol
The symptoms occurred because the.engine almost stalled. Look at the IAC first.

Car only has 36000 miles and I replaced the belt 2000 miles ago. Cleaned the iac 1000 miles ago

Was your iac dirty. If it was and I can't imagine that run a can of see foam clean the tb. At idle run the ac and turn the steering check your belt tensioner for movement and noise. With the ac on do some stop and go's as your turning for the same

Mine did this once and I found one of these. Kill it and your car should return to normal for at least a little while::D
