Hi Guys,
First timer here-just wanted to say hello. Does anyone have any feedback on these GF Performance Chip Kits. They claim up to 60 hp increase and 2-4 milage per gallon??? Snds too good to be true.
I have a 2003 Grand Marquis LSE. Previous Ford experience a 1991 SHO--fun car!!!!

Welcome. GF Performance Chip Kits ??? Never heard of them. Its the old addage if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. 60HP increase from a chip is not going to happen. :rolleyes:

Welcome to the site, I have never used this brand of chip, or any chip, others here may disagree, but as my mechanic says, Chips are garbage. Get a proper tuner. SCTX-3 and a CAI.

Try posting your question in the "tuning" forum for more answers........

Hi and welcome no experiance with that chip but i would stay away. Get a tune from Dennis or Lidio. I had a Lidio tune loved it but have since moved on to Livernoise Motorsports I'm now very happy

Doubtful.

Like the other guys said, check with Lidio (Alterative Automotive) or Dennis (Reinhart Performance) for one of their tunes loaded onto an SCT X-Cal tuner. Plug 'n play, and will definitely improve perfromance over stock.

Welcome to the site! Stay away from that chip, there is no possible way to get 60hp from a pcm flash alone.

They make the exact same claim for every make and model across every brand of vehicle made. Looks like every web page is identical with only the car name being changed. Originally priced at $399.99 Your price only $69.00. Wait another week and they be giving them away. ;)

The MPG increase is based on a baseline of 12 MPG and $3.00 gas. Hell, I can do better than 12 running with 6 firing, 4 flat tires, uphill all the way.

I am skeptical. ;)

Its another one of these devices that fool the IAT sensor into thinking its cold out and dumps more fuel and increases the timing a bit.
The claims are bogus and the reason why you feel faster in the cold temps is because the outside air is denser. This chip does nothing but lighten your wallet of $70. :shake:
