She's been wanting to hit the track for many years, but with two careers and three kids, conflict in scheduling has never allowed it... MANY thanks to BradleyG for loaning me his DR's since I apparently gave mine away, AND even dropping them off at my house!!! THANKS BUD!
We had everything against us as usual, traffic, late start, Xcal driver not found on laptop for corrections, four wheelin in mud getting into the track (my bad :) ), and having to run and hot lap a car that drove an hour and fourty-five minutes to get there! But we finally rolled in at 9:30 PM with 30 minutes to find someone to pay, tech in, mount DR's and, unleash hell :coolman:. LOL Well, not quite hell, but fun none the less.
First run blew the tires off BAD, the burnout was even embarrassing.. Popping off the rev limiter in about ONE second with bad wheel hop. Seemed to be like dancing on ice with zero friction. Left off idle.Time, 13.4. Second run I snapped an 1/8th throttle and spun them slowwww, this time hearing the good sounds of screeching. Mel finally got to feel a good hook, her face was like  Burned off a 13.0.
I was happy with the times considering I had no way to adjust for the different tire height, no headlight out, Mel inside, jack and tools in the trunk, oh and just finishing an almost TWO hour drive at 78* with only enough cool down for our Bo and Luke Duke tire swap :D She's quite the pit crew!
We both had a lot of fun. :burnout:
Now the BAD! Look what these Indiana bugs did to my car!!!!!!!!!!! AND the mud at the track entrance  I took her to the spa the very next day for the usual $15.00 hand job, this time feeling like some kinda jerkoff... I tipped a $20. Besides, they know my car very very well and know exactly what she normally looks like.
