Just my opinion...but im thinking that $2200 may be a little steep for those rims. Im not saying you WONT get it. Im just saying that there is a really really good chance that you will end up having to lower your price in order to get these sold and if time is a factor for you, you may want to consider this sooner than later. Again, this is just my :twocents:

The fact that our factoroty rims ARE expensive doesn't justify them being expensive. I would love to see just how many of these sets were sold for $5200-$5600. i just cant see it for 18x8 aluminum rims with no tires. Dont get me wrong, these things look absolutely immaculate and i hope you can get them sold for what you are asking. Im just giving you a heads up that you should prepare for a lot of admiring compliments followed by "if i had the money" responses which probably wont be true because if they had the money they would probably just get their own rims refurbished, chromed, and probably widened for less than what is being asked. As a person who has done quite a bit of rim shopping i just dont want to see someone disappointed. The price you have is appropriate, but not right now. Maybe in a few years when our rims become more rare and harder to find. But, as they say...your buyer is out there, you just have to wait on them. As i said before...I really do wish you the best of luck on this sale and i will spread the word on my FB page where there a lot of Marauder, CV and GM owners that will not see this post.

Question?
How much does it cost to chrome a rim?
And which company does good work?
Heres a set ZACK had for sale.

Make sure you know what you're getting for the price. You'll want nickel-chrome or copper-nickel chrome electroplating, with polishing between dips. All that work isn't cheap, but as the old saying goes, "you get what you pay for"..

Yep and Zack sold them for less then that I beleive not trying to kill the sale but at A wheel store U can get reg oe's redone for 175.00 ea. and Chrome for about 150-200.00 ea. Oh & the ones Zack had were awesome looking like these. These look just like the ones on my 300A Killjoy had Chromed when he owned the car.

Guys, keep in mind, " includes UPS shipping to lower 48."
You ain't gonna get 4 wheels shipped too cheap. He might be a bit high, but IMO, not too much. The last couple sets of used OEM rims went for around $500 a pair, and they had some slight curb rash, IIRC.
Add in cost of chrome, shipping, you'll be close to $2,000 for a set of 4.

I do think that the factory rims look absolutely amazing on our cars. However, i also think that they are extremely overpriced for what they are. The rims i have right now after rims, tires, mount, speed balance came to $1400. they were brand new in boxes with brand new nitto tires. Its just crazy that our wheels cost so much. I think thats what get my goat. Not the fact that hes chargin $2200...but the fact that he has to and is able to since these rims are so pointlessly expensive. Liquid.. I apologize bro. Do ya thang. I didnt mean to sidetrack your thread (although im pretty sure it was comin anyway). Dont mind me. Imma go put the word out on FB like i said. Happy Maraudering bro.

Yes i am one of the "Fools/IDIOTS" that you decided to start elementary name calling about who enjoys big wheels. Everyones entitled to their opinions but you can keep the name calling to yourself. Im not even sure how that comment was relevant to the subject of PRICE, which is what this entire discussion has been about. If you take the time and read the comments, there were only suggestions to lower the price for a faster sale. Finally, my last post was not referring to "wagon wheels", it was reguarding what the cost is for 20" bullitts. Its all love Motown. I also think that you have no respect for other members "for sale" threads! His just trying to make a sale and I have a question for you. If he would lower the price to like 1,600 would you even buy them? I don't think you would. I think you are just hating! on him trying to make a sale. If you don't like the price that his giving these rims for than don't respond to his thread. He didn't ask for anybody's opinion on this price. All this talk about how expensive these rims are made me wonder if they have type of special nut on each wheel that required a adapter key that fits on the end of the tire iron. I know they exist because I had them on my 1990 GM but replaced it because those rims weren't worth stealing. I know this wouldn't stop someone from stealing ones rims, but would sure slow them down and possibly have them move on to another car..
