I just tried out the Mr Clean car washing system. It cost $18.00 at Autozone. The way it works is you use the soap and spray apparatus with the filter that comes in the kit. Rinse with regular water, soap and wash with mitt/sponge, rinse again with regular water, turn selector to final rinse and rinse entire car again. Then sit back,drink a beer and watch the car dry. Well I was skeptical, especially with a black car, but it worked like a champ. When the car had completely dried NO SPOTS/Streaks! It looked better than any other time with hand drying. I'm sold, so if anyone needs a slightly used bucket, let me know.

Cool! I was wondering how it would work. Is there any adverse affect on wax?

Perhaps a longer trial period is needed?

I've washed it twice now with this system. The soap has a polymer in it that causes a sheeting action. It reminds of how you clean aluminum prior to treating it, you want to obtain a "water break free surface". Anyway, i've seen no adverse effects on the wax job I did a week prior to using it the first time. Also, when I finished washing it the first time, my mitt was the dirtiest it had ever been. Even though I rinsed it out numerous times while washing. I wash my car every weekend so I know it wasn't due to neglect/build up from a long interval between washings.

I got one of these for Christmas,and yup it works!
I washed My marauder(black) and the wifes truck and both dried spotless.
Don't drop it though,The filters fall out then when you put them back in they leak.So then you have to put in new ones.

It uses a surfactant. That's what causes the sheeting action that you get. They use that same ingredient in "Jet Dry" for dish washers.

Okay, enough science for me, I gotta go back to lawyering now.....

GOOD, THAT WAY I DON`T HAVE TO GET UP AT THE CRACK OF DAWN TO GET THE CAR DONE BEFORE THE SUN GETS OVER THE HOUSE AND ON THE CAR.I`LL HAVE TO GIVE IT A TRY WHEN ITS CAR DRIVING SEASON AROUND HERE AGAIN!!

Another tip:
Fill a bucket with water and keep your wash mit well rinsed,that way you wont transfwer the dirt back to the car.
