I was looking at my crossover tube today and it has mild-moderate rust bubbles under the black coating. Anyone know if I can grind these off and repaint it? Are there any structural concerns or are they just cosmetic. Should I purchase a new one or does someone here have an extra crossover tube post supercharger conversion. Thanks for the help in advance Dave

depends how bad the rust is. if i recall, a new one isnt ungodly expensive if it comes down to that.

Not crazy expensive but I would rather spend the money on mods.

Mine had the same problem I was thinking it was
Ike that on the inside so when I took it out it was fine but over time it could rust through. I got one from lowbuckmm for $80. If you do put one on the tube just lifts out the cooling ports. A rubber mallet will help you alot tap under the tube to lift out then tap on top to install. You might want to drain some coolant before you do anything

The COT gets modified for Eaton swaps, Trilogys and centris use the OEM COT as-is, so you're prolly not going to find any "extras" unless somebody picked up a spare.

I always thought of fabricating a cot out of stainless steel! no more rust problems

Trilogy's don't use the stock COT. The kit comes with a custom one.

I was just going to say that! Hmmm... Too bad the one I took off belongs to someone else!
