Just out of curiosity, how many temp. sensors do we have in the engine bay?

Intake air temp, cylinder head temp, and 2 coolant temps.

I've never seen a CHT sensor on a Marauder.

What about the Outside Air Temperature sensor behind the grille that feeds the display on the EATC, Does that count?

The marauder don't have one.

I may be wrong on the CHT...I do know the 2V motors have one.

I did not know that mod motors had these, interesting.

What are they monitoring, coolant temp within the head, or the actual head temp?

Actual head temp

Interesting. Only reads one head, or both? Also, where's the sensor located? Just wondering how it would pic up potential variances (i.e. hot spots) among cylinders.

I don't think it picks up hot spots...the 2V heads aren't prone to that like the 4V; it's used for the fail-safe cooling feature.

Gotcha.

Makes sense.
