OK...I need some advice... I have an iPhone 4 and I have the "audiophile 6 CD" radio (so no cassette). I want to take my phone calls thru the radio while I'm in the car...I'm not interested in listing to music from the iPhone. I want to listen to the radio and I assume that the incoming call will override the radio station I listening to...? is that correct..?
I've seen several after market adapters that plug into the cigarette lighter... is that what I need...?
As always... thanks for taking time to provide advice...:D
I'll be out of pocket till tomorrow...

Get a motorola bluetooth FM transmitter. Pair with iPhone 4 - I have one. Turn it on - tells you out loud a frequency. Turn on FM to that number and you are on the air.
I have this works pretty well.

babbage... please let me clarify...
Can I be listening to my local radio FM station and when a call comes in it will automatically over-ride my radio or do I have to punch buttons to take the call...?
sorry if dumb question, but I haven'y done this before.
thanks, Architect

SOME of the newer audiophile radios have a SAT in or a hands free add on capablity
Bottom line, any of that stuff will cost as much as a new radio, so trash the stock junk. I put in a DIN 2.0 unit with built in Bluetooth in my car and LOVE IT.

Very rarely do I use it except on very long trips.
Hardwired connection would be the best. There is a way to do it, you need a PIE adapter and run the cable into the console for the iPhone.
