not a full detail but enough to make me happy. previous owner did a decent job keeping it clean but i needed it to be a little cleaner, especially this disaster of the insulation pannel

soooo here is the before picture of the engine as well

just hand washed what i could reach with the spunge, didn't want to give it a full bath because i didn't want to risk getting the alternator and the COPs wet. after scrubbing and cleaning and degreasing, i sprayed some tire shine on the plastics. the pannel itself was a really easy job to do if you take your time. i managed to take off all the retaining tabs without breaking a single one, spray the panel with black primer engine enamel, and pit it all back together. after a couple of hours of work, i am satisfied with the results :D

again, wouldn't call it a detail job but i was happy with it. i was planing on doing the marauder lettering on the insulation but i called it off because i got frustrated with what i was trying to do lol. i can always save that for next time :D

thanks for looking

Looks good, even my car with low miles, I was tired of how the hood insulation looked, and the pulley wanted to hit it, so I made this change......

I went with powder coating. The entire case has to be disassembled and sent out.
You could probably paint it as well if you clean it up and smooth it out enough.

actually, i was just thinking about this. you can buy caliper paint (brush on not spray on) and use that. it will take a while but should look decent once finished.
