When replacing the struts on the Marauder, is a front end alignment required? Just looking at it, I don't see anything with the strut replacement that should affect the alignment. I'm sure it's a good idea, but the car is driving great right now, and I don't want that to change.

Yes and be sure to use carfixers specsg for the alignment.

To get the shock out you will end up having to disconnect the tie rods and the sway bar and loosen the lower control arm bolts. In addition they are nitrogen charged and your ride height will change slightly too.

Maybe I was doing things A** backward but when I pulled my shock out all I did disconnect the upper ball-joint and loosen the upper control arm. I was able to push down on the lower and it came right out. Also took my sway bar off to give me some room to work.

Got them replaced today. I had a shop do it and they said it was a pita. I used the Monroes this time. So far I'm very pleased with the ride. Got new brakes all around and new struts. It drives very nice and I'm pleased with them, especially at half the price of the stock Tokicos.

Now onto the next project. There was a noise coming from the right rear that I hoped was going to be eliminated. Going to be looking at the axles next.
