My car is about to become a garage queen. I did a quote through Grundy with 500k liability etc and the quote came back $248/12months. Too good to be true? My insurance company wants $650/12m and Hagerty was at $389/12m. Anybody have experience. BTW I used a 15k agreed coverage price.

what kind of mileage does that include? Less than 10k/year?

I tried to insure my 96 Impala SS and my Marauder through Hagerty. I was told they wouldnt insure them because they were too new and were 4 door cars. The guy had no clue there were so few Marauders. Still said it didn't matter.

I have Grundy On My Marauder so does Marauder TJA for a few years now with no problems. I got Steven J to insure his through them last year & his marauder got T Boned some time after and they paid him the full value of his Policy with no issues.

Sweet! I'm not too concerned with limits on how many miles it's driven. I figure I'll be well below 5000.
Just found this link:

Grundy quoted $1240.00 for 100/300 coverage and total payout $30,000.00. 3-5K milwes a year. They quoted me $1265.00 for 2 cars. Was with them before with a 73' SS Nova, they paid 10K after Katrina. No hassel.

Great to know Z, recently paid mine off and want to make sure I'm covered for the true value of my MM. 45K on the clock. Currently under Geico for about 50 bucks a month, but who knows what they would give me if it was totaled. I'd rather go with a fixed dollar amount. I'll check Grundy out.

I have Hagerty on several cars. They discount multi car policies. I pay what Grundy quoted you for my '04 Silver Birch. Due to several mods to this car, my coverage is for a higher appraised value than $ 15K.

Aside for the mods you have done to the car let them know any Awards you may of won over the years if any it will help a little in increasing the totle value of the car. Take the pictures they request on a sunny clear day and make sure your car is really clean. I insured mine for $38,000. But next renewal I'm increasing it because of the built new Built motor & other work I had done a few months ago. Keep one thing in mind they don't offer Medical Payments in their policys.

Hey Z, mind if I give them a try? Sounds like that would suit me perfect. Garage Queen with less than 3,000 every year.

Their are limitations on how you can use your Marauder & how it's stored so ask them prior to what their requirements are. If it works for you then you can save some money & if something happeneds to your Marauder & it's totled you will get back some of the money you invested or all of it, dependant on what it's insured for.

So this means it has to be garaged and barely driven? I get the garaged factor if that is the case, but barely driven:bigcry:

Yes, and no. I have Grundy on my Marauder too. It's a show queen and weekend cruiser.

You do have to keep it in a garage but you are not limited on mileage. It simply cannot be used for commuting, running errands, etc... If you mainly drive your Marauder to shows, cruises, and just for fun, you should be fine.

There's one advantage of Hagerty. They don't limit your use model.

What if you don't have a garage but it's got a car cover? Anyone know if they will cover that. Thought I'd ask b4 I call.
