How many members have felt they have been mistaken for the Po Po?
At the last gathering we had at Big B'G s house when five of us piled in to
my ride, remember the gal that pulled over thinking we were the Police?
How many squad cars have tire smoke billowing from the underside?:D

I always do burn out's in my squad:burnout:, so in my area, smoke coming off the tires would be normal.:D

Greenville County Sheriff's Dept. colors are dark blue, and most of the cars are CV's so yeah, I'm mistaken for an un-marked car quite often around town (and get a wave from LEO's driving by more often than not.)

Shortly after buying the car and when it was still all stock I had to go to an old teammates wedding. He requested that we all wear black suits with black ties. No problemo. Well, inevitably one of the guys riding with was running late. I had to drive over the limit to make it to the church on time. As I was cruising down the highway one of the guys remarked that he hoped we don't get pulled over. I said "I doubt any cop seeing this car, with three men in black suits in it, is going to give us any trouble." A minute later we rounded a curve and a LEO was sitting there gunning cars. As we passed I just waved and he waved back. My friend said, "well I guess when you're right, you're right."

For a fact New Jersey Turnpike left lane headlights on or off 99.9% of the cars duck for cover when I approach:) I have had marked & unmarked cars wave at me:)
(note I never, never push it)
I guess in a few years when all the crown vicks are re-tired or trashed no one will move for us?

I must confess after almost 9 years it is starting to get old with the line...."nice cop car" or "why did you buy an old cop car and restore it?"
"my police department use to have these" Yeah right.

Rolling 80 MPH in a 65 MPH in the 'hammer lane'...
Parking lights always on in the daytime, just headlights at night.
I will see people 'lock up' when rolling up on them, and they move over.
Quickly.

This is true. Funny thing is in Connecticut the State Police use Silver/Lt Grey cars and still no one moves out of they way when we are riding up to NH in the SB.:shake::lol:

I've noticed this more lately because the local PD's are switching their cars from all white to black with white doors.
I also notice that fewer drivers pull out in front of me

Highway parts like the red sea. Only problem is when someone can't get over they slow down to 5 under the limit. Then I wave out my window to let them know im not a police officer so they can drive faster.

I can not believe it made it so long... Thats what she said.
In my white '02, which is not a p71, I cant go anywhere without everyone going the speed limit in front of me. Its not so bad in the silver 05.

Yeah, I've had that "Part Like the Red Sea" syndrome
This happens all the time: I've been in the middle lane when a car sprints up in the left lane, then they hit their brakes when they get up to me. Then they run "formation" with me for about a minute or two until they figure out I'm not a LEO....I laugh when this happens.
When I first got my MM, me and the Mrs. (girl friend then) where doing 20+ over going up the Iowa interstate to Sioux City Iowa to a concert, when I drove under an overpass to find one of Iowa's finest doing RADAR in the median,....he just waved at us as we shot by him.

Certainly an added bonus to a cool car! ;)
For as fun as it is to watch people scrambling to get out of my way, I particularly enjoy watching the noses of oncoming cars dive to the ground when I appear.....especially the ricers! I've even had a group of teens horsing-around on the sidewalk snap-to as I drove by.

Happens all the time. Must admit it comes in handy when I'm in a hurry on the highway. Driving lights off, roll up on em quick. Yep, they move.
Other than that, it is quite the opposite around town, now every foo wants to drag race. I simply ignore most of them, just grin and shake my head. Cheese's them off even more. :)

While cruising (about 80) in the slow lane on the Oklahoma turnpikes and on 35 south into Texas, I noticed quite a few times cars coming up fast in the left lane, then slow and pace me from about 100 feet back, pull in behind and creep up to see my license plate, then pass..... I just :D

Local cop waved at me going in the opposite direction in his squad car. Realized his mistake and hit the brakes as if to say "my bad".
