i found this web site (tirecrawler.com) they want 713 for the toyo proxes st2 shippied is that a reasonable price and is anyone else using this tire?

what sizes were you looking at, I didn't see anything front wise in our sizes? Coulda just missed it though...

i dont run stock tires sizes ours are hard to find so i went with these sizes and the work perfect
255 45 18 front

and the tires are TOYO PROXES ST 2 OR ll

ok i just found another website right here in atlanta http://www.treadepot.com/index.html
they have the toyo proxes i want for 598 plus 35.88 tax and i can go pick them up better than the other place thats in california so for 634 i save about 75 bucks i can use for install and balance

Im running these.. 255/55/18 rear 255/50/18 front.. ST2.. holding up very well about 24000mi on them now..
But they did make alot on howling noise going around corners.. better now..

Are those sizes correct for the stock rake and speedo? Doesn't seem like much of a difference in size...

255/55-18 is larger than the stock 245/55-18 so it will make the speedo read slightly slower than what the car is actually going. As far as the front to rear, if it's an 03 without traction control it wont matter.
If the car has traction control than the rear tire needs to be 3-5% larger for the traction control to work properly and not trip the rear ABS.
I think the rear needs to be at least 1.3" taller in diameter than the front tire.
