those are american muscles lugs too, usually no problems. Lets see what they have to say back. Makes me worried about the others.


Whats your guys opinion on this....

That happened to me with a set of Dorman lugnuts I bought at Autozone. Cheap crap is what it is.

Stainless caps over hollow lug nut,thats what our factory ones are.Crappy and cheap.

I just had to replace one of the acorn caps on my driver's rear in May. Took 8 years and 4 sets of tires to shake loose. They may be crappy after 8 years of use .... but they certainly ain't cheap.

Part number for the replacement lugnut with SS cap is 9R3Z-1012-A. I recall one lugnut was about $10.00 at the Ford Parts counter -- in stock. AutoZone had similar for cheaper; but not an exact match for the OEM cap.

One of these days, I'll do the Gorilla nuts ..... not today though. ;)

If the size of that lug nut is smaller than the others, then the cap came off. If not, they lost one and replaced it with a cheap alternative.
