I have 93K on my 2003 MM and I feel it is time for new shocks. What should I go with?

I went with Monroes on my car:

Gas-Magnum Severe Service Shock Absorber; Rear, Part No. 550018, $50.99 each
Gas-Magnum Severe Service Shock Absorber; Front, Part No. 553001 $95.99 each

I like them. IMO, very firm, but not harsh, ride. They definitely keep the car on the road!

I have 93K on my 2003 MM and I feel it is time for new shocks. Do you FEEL it or do you just assume it? Phoebe has almost 150,000 on the original shocks and is still tight.

That's the best - high mileage and still tight.

I did Monroe REFLEX on my Jeep and can vouch for their quality. Found them cheap on eBay, about half the price of anyone locally.

I had Monroe Sensa-Tracs on the rear, they were a little too harsh, rear end would bounce a lot on bumps while cornering. One started to leak after almost 2 years so I went back to OEM and enjoy the ride a lot better.

Put the same setup as SC Cheesehead (see post #2) on my MM last week - just in time for the trip to Dan's Crab House. I have over 125K on my MM and I definately can tell the difference (for the better)!

Where'd you buy 'em? Shoulda been covered under warranty.

I forget where I got them from and I had to replace the leaky one that day so I just had the shop next to me order me two new OEM ones. I really didn't like the ride harshness with the Monroes so I really didn't want to keep them on anymore.

I had 225K+ on my OEM's and feeling guilty I put new ones on.....cannot feel a bit of difference so I guess I threw good ones away!!??:shake:

Well my ride is not nearly as good as it used to be. Front end just feels loose to me. I found the Monroe Sever Service Shocks on Car Parts Wholesale. $47.64 ea for the rears and $86.24 ea for the fronts. Probably going to order them today.

I'm having the same loose feeling on cement freeways. Look at your front bushings and seeif they are still good.
