Is it a 300A or 300B?

How many miles?

What shape is it in?

Need more details.

;)

Yeah need more details. In comparison my 03 300a (early 02 build) I bought 2 months back for 10K cash. With 80K miles on it. After taking mine home I realized it had problems I didn't see, shoulda paid less. Needs tires (might make it through summer but thats pushing it), had crows feet in paint on trunk and hood, bird poop etching on roof, passenger front fender has been repainted (orange peel) for some reason...windshield replaced too, so possible unreported accident.

I paid $9000 for an 03 with 98k miles and a tune it was a local Sheriffs car. $14,000 for an 03 with 72k miles and a supercharger with many add ons. They are both in about the same condition for a Black car as far as paint, many scratches and bug etching on the front end. The more expensive one has some electrical problems that have yet to be fixed. So if you are happy with your car and a few scratches are your only problem then you did OK!

Normal miles @ 12K a year =96K your's has 64K so 32K less that worths about 1600 more than one with 96K dealers out here (East Coast Phila Merto Area) figure .05 a mile base on 10-12K a year. So maybe a little more? Hard to tell really. If you happy with the car that's really all that matters.

I don't think you paid too much for it. I paid 16.3 for mine with 36k on her. My 04, with 27k miles was around the same price.

Sounds like you got a fair deal, though a tad bit on the high side of fair. But as others have said, go forth and drive it. You can't change how much you paid for it now

I paid 11k in 2007 for mine with 80k on it. It had tinted windows, JL component speakers, new tires and Flowmasters very nice shape with no visible scratches/dents. 2 years as my daily changed that though....lol

I think you did ok, maybe a little high, but then again you could have got a cheaper one that needs axles, lcm, electrical work, rear end work etc!

enjoy your ride bud, looking backwards at this point is a waste of time

Focus on the mod bug that will be paying you a visit soon!

6K in 09. How ya like me now? :D It was going back to auction because it was sitting for months. I found the listing in craigslist in a town with a population of 15,139. The dealer couldn't pronounce or spell the name Marauder. :( I did a LOT of work to it myself and saved a lot. About 5k into it (new motor, etc.) and another 2k once the blower goes on. Enjoy it and don't look back!

Purchased a 2003 a couple weeks ago for $13500. 65k miles seems to be a 300b. Body needs some work(scratches and bumper needs to be repainted), and needs new tires.

bigmerc, I won't tell how much we paid for Phoebe in 2007 with 85k, but it was more than you. Was it a bit high?....Perhaps, but it had a number of things going for it, not the least of which was that we knew the PO and how he treated his cars, and it already had quite a few mods that we would have done to the car anyway. I don't regret it one bit.

Like others said, who cares if you got the "best" deal as long as you like the car.

I paid too much for my 03' in 2005. But it's what I wanted when I wanted it. What everyone is forgeting is the pre-owned inventory is depleted somewhat for any car model. The value of good used rolling stock is actually a bit higher than published prices. Finally, you bought what you wanted, enjoy it. So put yer foot on the go pedal and enjoy .

I paid $14,000 for my 2 owner 2003 last year in august with 30,xxx miles on it. Bone stock. It was perfect. New tires, light flint interior. Still smells new on the inside. I thought I paid too much but I really cared less after I pulled off in it. Loving every minute of it

Very true...

I've learned over the years that no matter how bad you want something, if you keep your eyes open, the right deal will come along... I feel that was the case with my Marauder... While most of MM.net was whinin' about it having it having a rebuilt title because a tree had fallen on it back in '08(was for sale here in the classifieds), I slipped in and snatched it up for $9850... The supercharger had been installed just 6mo prior, in total bazawir had put about $7K in mods into the car in the year he owned it... I look at it as I bought a $2850 car, with $7000 in mods... Yeah usually one doesn't get their money back when selling a modded car, but even if the numbers are reversed, it was a Hellva deal... BTW it had 42K mi when I picked it up in Chicago...

Very true...

I've learned over the years that no matter how bad you want something, if you keep your eyes open, the right deal will come along....

I can attest to that! Saw my MM listed for $12,995; sat on it for a few days trying to figure out if I could afford it or go after another one with 20K more mileage listed for $10,995. 5 days later, my first choice dropped in price to $10,995...paid $11,324.99. Had 57.5K miles, needed new tires and went ahead and had new rotors put on as well ($1600).

This was 4 months ago, and have been loving every minute I've sat behind the steering wheel. '03, SB, bone stock, moonroof, heated seats (not needed that much...wish they could be cooled, too), rear spoiler.

Did you have the front aligned to carfixer specs?

Otherwise tires won't last long on the front.

...I didn't see that info/thread until AFTER I had gotten them. I have put just over 10K on my car and haven't noticed any excessive wear on them...yet.

When I get the time and the $$$, I plan on taking it back to the shop to have them re-aligned; need to do it soon, before the wear starts...

These cars really are worth whatever you are willing to pay anymore. The best deal I could find recently was the one I bought:

2003, 300A, 33K miles + original owner for $15,000. Good to go except for about 5 bird crap sized areas on the roof where the clear is getting jiggy.

I paid 13k for mine, and it had alot more miles on it. I also paid $1000 for a warranty that I never needed and has since expired. But that was 3 years ago right before the economy went splat. I bought the first one I had seen for sale locally for a long time though, and if you had passed it up, you could have been looking a long time before another one came up for sale.

If it makes you feel better, I paid 17.6k on an 03 with 1335 miles, last october. KBB was about 14 on it. I've overpaid if I go by KBB or NADA, but if you look at the opportunity cost, in my case, 17k would have bought me an equally new (albeit 2010 or 2011 model) base fiesta or focus. I'll take the MM any day of the week over an eco shoebox.
