I have been lurking on your site for about 2 months and this is my first post. Just bought a 2004 Black M/M and am really happy with it. I initially purchased a 2003 M/M and had a nightmare with it due to dealer fraud. I'll save that story for another thread. Anyway, your posts have been tremendously helpfull and insightful. I've read about about 70% of all the posts (yea, I know, get a life) since the beginning, some of which were so technical it made my head spin. For instance, I new that this car needed mods from the "get go" so I was prepared for the let down buying stock. Anyway, I went to to the dealer armed with a wealth of knowlege and had 'em bouncing arorund like a bunch of Mexican jumping beans. So what's the difference between the 03 and 04? I ask them. Nothing they say. But I heard the tranny's been upgraded and the 04's got dual knock sensors? Oh, let me check on that for you, sir. 10 minutes later, yes sir you're absolutely right, the 04 has been upgraded. Well, what is the difference between models A and B model? Be right back, the poor sap sings. And on and on it goes until they ask me to write down all my questions. It didn't go that far but I'm smiling was and thinking whose your daddy now, $%&$$##**. Don't like dealers, never did. So thank you people. Bought the 04 for 29K,because knowledge is power, and your website provided me with just that. Secondly, I would like Dennis Reinhart. Again I heard about Dennis through the site and have read only positive posts from people who have dealt with him. I talked to Dennis before I bought my M/M, and he was helpful in telling me what to expect and what not to expect. His first question was to ask me what I wanted from the car. He went into detail about the 3 stages that he offers and we both agreed that stage 2 was what I was looking for. Drove down to Florida (were Dennis is located) only because with an investment like this, I wanted the best to install it. I only saw 2 Marauders on the way down, and I was looking. That's what I love about this car, it's exclusivity!!! One of those was Mike's, from NH. Some of you hard core vets from the site know him. Hell of a nice guy, and a pretty nice ride ya got there, Mike. Mike was heading down for a new exhaust and upgraded tranny from Dennis. Anyway, Mike lead the way and we got to Dennis' 1/6/03 @ 11. (whew, I'm getting tired). Anyway, Even though the man was busy with 500HP+ Cars, Me thinks you FLA guys are crazy, Dennis took us right in. The crew worked on my car until 7PM. I forgot what southern hospitality was like. It's a great feeling when you go to a shop and you get to see with your own eyes old parts coming out and new parts going in. Steve, who worked on my car is a great guy. Every time I asked a question, mostly dumb, He would stop what he was doing and go into great detail into exactly what he was doing. Sorry, Steve, hope I don't get you into trouble!!! Don't pop the no-doze peeps, I'm almost done. Anyway, Dennis treated me, Mike and Sheila (Dennis' lovely girlfriend) to drinks and dinner and even offered me to shack up at his place so I wouldn't have to pay for a motel. I mean CMON, DUDE, don't you now know I'm from New York and am not used to this kind of treatment!!!!!!!! Took off the next day. Did 130MPH @ 4900 RPM on I95, clear road, but I would like to apologize to myself and the squirels and possums I may have endangered. New car, did'nt want to push it. Off the line excelartion? Neck brace is under the seat. You do things old school Dennis, not technologically wise but people wise. You sell a quality product at a reasonable price aimed at customer satisfaction and return. Thank you Dr. Reinhartstein. And Thank you too, People.

Hey, John. Glad you replied. I was wondering how I could touch base with local Marauders. Unfortunately, I can't make it today. But I'd like to give you a holler soon. Have lots of questions.
Nice post David and welcome aboard!
Dennis is a class-act. And what I like most is he's an honest, true enthusiast for the Mercury Marauder. Is he making $? I hope so. But is he making $ by selling anyone here anything they don't need or taking advantage? Never.
Glad to hear you have joined the other happy "Performance by Reinhart" customers here...like me.

I think...he was comparing Dennis to:

I'm reading Starbucks Chairman and CEO Howard Schultz' book, "Pouring Your Heart Into It" at the moment. A great read and great business insight.

Thanks guys. I initially wanted to name the thread "Thank you Dennis and thank you too, people". Would have been more appropriate. From here on in my middle name is paragraph.
Brought the M/M to show off to 2 mechanics that I've known for a long time and let them take her a spin. They must be twins because they both said "Oh S**t" after punching the gas.
A comedian I'm not (do these paragraphs look right?) I call Dennis Dr. Reinhartstein because he creates monsters with his mods, Kinda like....Dr. Frankenstein, get it. Not the first time I've been asked to explain a joke, not a good sign. (shameful smiley face goes here) How do you those things?
A lot of people put there mods in their profiles. Could someone tell how to do that? (Pissed smiley face here) Thanks.
