Ok, I have had my 03 MM 300A for one month now. It had 200 miles on it when I picked her up from the dealer. Now it has just over 1500. I can honestly say this is one of the funnest new cars I have ever purchased. The more I drive it, the more I love it. The more it snows out, the more I miss the MM. I rather have a date with Rosanne Barr than drive my MM in the salt and snow.

As for any problems, I have had just a few. Rough idle and poor accl when cold. Also, an inaccurate fuel gauge. Both will be corrected by service bullitens if the weather ever allows me to take it in and get it fixed.

My selling dealer was really poor to deal with. My temp. tags have expired and they won't give me a new one. I have a better chance marrying Mariah Carey than I would getting Mueller L/M in Oshkosh to return a phone call. They promised me a new grille and a Marauder hat. I have newer seen anything, or heard from them. But that is not the cars fault.

The only real problem I have with the car is the paint/body quality. Several hairline scratches, swirls from the dealer buffing it with compound and gravel, and 4 dings make my body complete. Factor in a loose window scalp molding and body panels that were aligned at the factory by Ray Charles and you get the makings of any 34 thousand dollar car's fit and finish. Right? I had the body professionaly buffed and Auto Armor applied. I also hand waxed it on a warm day. It looks better. But I saw a black Kia Rio the other day that had a nicer fit and finish.

All in all, I love my car. I'll get the body up to my liking. I'll never use my selling dealer ever again. I will drive the MM as mush as I can and I will enjoy it more and more as time passes.

Thanks for reading,

Eric

Hey now! Let's leave Ray Charles alone!

Who in the world is Roseanne Barr? Is that the lesbian social activist wanna be that used to have her own TV talk show?

As far as the dealer being unable to issue you another temporary tag, that is actually true in many states as a single VIN number is usually not allowed to be assigned more than one temp tag during it's current ownership depending on the BMV rules and regulations for that particular state. I also took delivery of my Marauder about a month ago, and it's been amazing. It had 6 miles on the odometer when I finally recieved it, and now has almost 2200 miles. I consistently make excuses to go out just so I can take this baby for a spin. Today is a good example as I had to run several errands, and managed to add 90 more miles to the drive just by picking farther locations of the stores I needed to head to. To top it off, I ended the day by pulling into an empty alley in an abandoned buisness district and pulled the best burnout i've ever pulled before. What's amazing is how easy burnouts are when the outside temperature is only in the mid-low 20's! All I did, was turn traction control off, tap the brake pedal, and didn't even need to floor the gas to spin up the tires!

I wish someone would tell those morons at the dealership how to properly buff their own product. My 04 had swirls and overpaint all over it. They offered to fix it, but I declined and shelled out $150 to have it done professionally. Looks sweet now.

I second that as well! I get scared whenever an issue pops up that requires a visit to the dealership. I just don't feel comfortable having my dealership touch my baby like that............

I lucked out that when I purchased my MM it was taken off the car carrier only 2-days before I showed up and bought it... :cool4:

I picked up mine on December 27 - mine Christmas present to myself. I have had one issue so far and that is that the inside would not heat up until the engine almost overheated - obvious thermostat problems! I took it in to the dealer and they let me stand out antalk with the mechanic. He pulled out aluminum chips that were stuck in the thermostat. (I kept the chips for possible future warranty issues). He worked with me because I took it to a Ford dealer and not where I purchased the car. It was the first Marauder that he had seen - he was impressed with it.

Got a good one - I visited the Detroit Auto Show during the Supplier Preview days - they had a Marauder on display - hood closed - hood release mechanism taken out - and people in the display would not open the hood. Gee, wonder why they are selling many?

Some of you guys might remember my frustration with Ford losing my Marauder for a while, but it was definately worth the wait. As soon as my vehicle arrived Friday morning, they immediately halted everything they were doing, and put my vehicle through the PDI and then clean-up so that I could pick it up that afternoon.
