Thoughts for a build? Discuss

Selling a 4.6L teksid engine block that came out of a 1998 Lincoln Mark 8. This same engine block came in the 96 and newer Mustang Cobra. This is an aluminum engine that has been proven to 1500hp. Not using it anymore and sick of looking at it. Comes with block and main caps.

Your MM has a wap block that some, like Sean Hyland, will say can take as much abuse as Teksid block. Save your money and build yours stronger. I wouldn't trust any 4.6 block at 1500hp btw. Iron won't flex like aluminum at those levels.

Well I know that my motor can take some abuse. Since it's in the car its kinda hard to build lol. i know some have used teksid blocks as a platform for power and went from there. So ideally I'd want to build a motor then throw it in the car. I want to do forged internals as cast internals are weaker obviously and would be the breaking point. I don't have massive power goals but I'd like to be able to hit 500-600 without worrying about breaking things.

How much are you planning to spend on the engine, again? (long block, power adder, fuel system upgrades, etc)?

IIRC, you posted earlier you're planning to spend somewhere around $4,000. If that's for the project total, ain't gonna happen...

I have seen teksid blocks at 1200rwhp hold up in a mustang. Just saying.

I never posted anything about 4,000 dollars, it's going to cost more for just a supercharger. Try like 10k at least

VT engines that used to be across the street from where I live built motors using the same block we have that held more power than that... Teskid block strength being superior is mainly a myth. Other than outlaw cars no one is breaking these alum blocks from too much power alone.
