im ordering rear gears and my mechanic wants to know if they are hog nose or conventional gears. if anyone knows it would be greatly appreciated. 2003 marauder

Never heard of "hog nose" gears.... if your replacing the ring AND pinion it shouldn't matter since the gears will be a matched set.

Just have the dealer install them.

Make sure you get someone that will warranty their work. Seems like Gears are hit or horrible miss.

Horrible miss is correct! ^^smart man up here differentials are not cheap

Thanks will get someone who knows what they are doing. 410s with lidio tune will hopefully be good.

I wonder if that guy meant Face Hob which all FRPP gear sets are made using that process. Face Hob, Hog Nose, 6 of one half dozen of the other. :lol:

how are your eaton swap superchargers. hopefully one day will get there. trilogy is so damn expensive.

If you want an expertly engineered kit that looks like it belongs on a Marauder Trilogy is the way to go.

If you get the Hog Nose gears, be sure to use Grey Poupon for lube. ;)

The "Eaton swap" blower is the same size (displacement) as the Trilogy unit, but has a different air intake configuration to maintain an OEM appearance.

If you go with an Eaton swap, the throttle body, air intake tube, MAF, and air filter will be on the passenger side, which will require relocation of the battery and some other periferals.
