These things are sweet! I got the motorsport HERO version with the suction cup to mount it to the outside of the car. Also picked up the roll bar mount kit to hang it in the race car.

As soon as I get some video I'll post some links.

I've seen those! I was looking at 03/04 Cobra parts on Lethal and saw that. That'd be cool to see some video from your car!

I bought the Helmet Hero while in Colorodo skiing this past April. It works great. The sound qaulity picks up good if you're very close to the camera and the stability is perfect. I'll be getting the suction cup mounts for the car. I didn't know they made it. Thanks for the info. I will also be using this on my hunting trip this year. I highly recommend these!

My brother and I are going to buy a GoPro for the 427 Cobra's next open track event.
Might be cool to just record a "spirited ride" through the mountains of Western Maryland.

BTW: Check out the videos on the GoPro website link in CW's post....AWESOME!!!

I have one of these in the mustang:

I started filming track outings before gopro and all the other stuff came out. There are some pros and cons about it.

The major pro is, it's behind you, less stuff to come flying at me during hard launches on slicks. It also allows to film your shifts and dash, so you can review your shiftpoints and whatnot later.

The major con is that the seat moves in relation to the rest of the car, and that the heavier the camera, the more inertia it will have and be more likely to tilt the camera at the roof of your car on launch. I have plenty of those videos...

I will probably update to a go pro and a clamp mount if/when I have to put a cage in the mustang.

These 2 videos were right when I got the camera. 1st one was "hunting" at a car show.
2nd one was playing in the country. ;-)

Camera's are very cool. The one I used is the Contour HD Pro (http://store.contour.com/contourhd-1080p-camera-p7.aspx?gclid=CJDbi4DZlaoCFdBr KgodtQn7xA)
