on the roof passenger side back in the corner between "c" pillar and back window. Oh well needed an excuse to paint the front bumper cover which gives me excuse to repain the whole car. Its garage kept, will this atleast slow down the advancement???

From your location I'm surprised. Does your garage have dampness/leaks? Is the garage tight w/no ventilation so that humidity stays inside? Think about what is behind the rust. Any chance roof drainage or window leak exists that is letting water get in behind the metal? Some cancer is definitely curable!

Mine has almost the exact same thing going on. Mine is garage kept as well. I blame it on the crows feet that popped up a couple years ago. Can't afford a repaint though. :(
