You would need the eaton conversion parts. It would fit, but probably interfere with the wiper cowl.

Just buy a Trilogy kit and be done with it!

I already have a trilogy, thought about buying one of these as an "upgrade".

you realize this is basically just for the blower? and why in the hell would they convert a cobra to drivers side intake? :help:

I was wondering the same thing about the intake side.
Maybe they just want to be different. It sure is a damn good looking blower though.

Looks like this would be a better/upgrade blower to the one that comes with the Trilogy kit - unless I'm reading the specs wrong.

comparision test was apples to apples with new 3.4 Whipple, Personally id go with the Whipple considering this is the 1st PD blower with the Vortech name on it. also Like Fordnut metioned it appears to me unlike a 3.4 Whipple the very back of it looks to have a rise in it which likely willresult in fitment problems with wiper bucket. Just go with a Eaton swap and upgrade to a Whipple.. Whipple=Win

Can't remember off-hand if whipple makes the lyshom twin-screw compressors for these units or the other way around. At the end of the day, it is the functional equivalent to the whipple 3.4 for the cobra/terminators but costs $1000 more than the whipple.

Wont clear the actual wiper arm.

It's the other way around Lysholm and Eaton are the manufacturers of positive displacement blowers for all the brand out there, except for K B I think they make their own. Someone made a post for this kit before on here and no it wont work because it's not a complete kit with injectors, pumps etc... and like mentioned it's a 3.4L which will mean BOOM on a stock block.

Yup, lyshom makes the twin-screw compressors with whipple purchasing that from them for whipple's blowers. Thanks mighty Internet! Although lyshom and eaton may generally be the only positive displacement compressor manufacturers, the roots and twin screw are 2 very different types of blowers. Eaton only makes roots compressors.

All things equal, most twin screw blowers for the s/c mod motors are going to be from whipple and KB. Everything else is likely going to be a one-off of them (lysholm unit included). I'm not saying the lysholm unit is a bad unit.

I guess I have a soft spot in my heart for whipple. Best customer service ever. When I thought I had a leaky snout on my 2.3L whipple which sat atop a built 2003 Harley f-150, who did I talk to the first time I called with minimal wait time? Art Whipple, owner of whipple and old school hot-rodder. They sent a new snout with oil without charging for a core including return label for the old snout. Unit was 2+ years old (i.e, no warranty) but it didn't cost me a thing.

To those who made the comments in this thread looking for an upgrade to the Trilogy, the Cobra upgrade blowers will not work as a simple bolt-on. The crank pulley is different for sure but that ought to be a simple fix. The tensioner may need shims too for proper belt alignment. The inlet plenum is totally different and would require mods like the Eaton conversion. The Trilogy inlet is unique and has a relatively small cross-sectional area which will be a power limiting factor with the bigger blower even if a custom adapter plate were made to install it.

This is my biggest issue that I have with my T.S., if that one item were to be modified, I think a lot more power could be gained. I looked at the 3.3 on Lysholm's site, I would have to tear the car down to take some measurements, the wiper cowl will need to be modded (a lot), but may be able to be done, more R&D than anything.
