Just wanted to say I sold my car this am to a very nice guy from out of state. Im not going to go into details about him but I encouraged him to become a member of the forum and I am pretty sure he will. Its a sad day here, I loved my car but after almost eight years of ownership it was time to move on a bit. Still have my other Panther and plan on sticking around the forum if thats ok. The good news is Im certain my car went to a good home and dont have to worry about seeing it on 22's or painted pink metalflake. Jim

Everyone is there own person we all have reasons for what we do. Iam sure there will be days ya miss it but u did what you wanted to do and a good home is a must anymore hardly any left.. Me personally I went 2 yrs after my KB-S got blasted but finally (after countless other hot rods) realized that the Marauder was the only one for me, I may sell one but not both.. Good luck with youre next car and stick around

Well Jim, its the end of a long and great Marauder experience eh?

You were a real spark plug to the North Texas Marauders, faithful to attend many of the Checker's meets, the Centerville GTG's and Maraudervilles.

Wish you the best in your future automotive experience.

Your friend,

Pat

Best of luck with your next "toy"

Not having a marauder does not change who you are:up:

We'll leave a light on for you.

Thanks for the kind words guys. Pat, Ill still be around and still plan on attending the annual Centerville meets and some of the other stuff. The situation was Im a single guy and had two cars and a truck and just wasnt driving the Marauder enough to justify owning it. I have another daily driver (my 09 Marquis) and just never wanted to take the Marauder to Walmart and get it all screwed up so it sat in the garage most of the time. Besides, my truck is six years old and only has 30k miles on it too so I need to start driving that and it will be easier now with just two vehicles. Best of all, I dont have to move a car to get my Harley out of the garage now. All in all, a great ownership experience; Ive really enjoyed meeting everyone here at the three Maraudervilles Ive attended and have also had fun in my attempts at trying to educate those of you "Beck-Limbaughites" as to the evils of your ways in politics. (and yep, I still want to see pics of those dentside F-250 and Bronco rebuilds!)

Based on experience go sit in that empty space now 'cause tomorrow it will begin to fill with "stuff";)

Stick around Jim, you know we love ya guy. I've been fighting the "itch" too all summer, but at this point it appears she is staying at least until I get the back pay we've been due since 2005. Don't ask, :mad2:, we crap canned the union because of it.

Jim, I really hate to see the Marauder go--but I will always consider you a good friend--we've had lots of good times together and I really appreciate all you have done for the North Texas Marauders over the years. THANKS !!!! I am selling my home and moving to a retirement cottage a mile from my present home, so, I'll still be around to heckel you. Enjoy life, be safe and ( for now) stay cool;) I hope to see you in Centerville when it cools off. Maury:burnout:

Ok gang, talk to Matt about going to Marauderville! Matt, it's mandatory that you clear your schedule and be present with your new SB at MV IX this October in Hershey! Have I made myself perfectly clear? I can't HEAR you!:D In other words, we would be honored and pleased to have you come to the party!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! As far as MV9 is concerned.....I'll see what I can do. One of my top customers (MarkWest) is just a few hours away from Hershey in Houston, PA. I'll definitely see what I can do to get up that direction.

Question for you guys - what can I do to prevent the exhaust pipes from the light surface rust. I'm thinking about hitting them with some fine steel wool then some clear coat or WD-40.

I'm working to make the car look like a 2,000 mile car instead of a 20,000 mile ride.
