I have owned this car for 27 Years and have invested lots of blood sweat and money in her.
She is making 470 RWHP & 485 LBS/Feet TQ, This car just keeps pulling and pulling to red line which is about 7200 RPM. It is FI with a Motec brain, Mallary elecrontic ignitions Excel 300 & 8.8 wires. 16" CSA rims on Yokohama AV1 W rated tires.
I like to go around corners with this car so she is lowered 1.5 in front and 2" in rear.
KYB shocks Moser azles ricmond gear and new posi Wielded tubs gusseted & staggered shocks, Polygraphic bushing,Balanced drive shaft with Loop and
Lakewood scatter shield. Zoom clutch pressure pate, flywheel and throw out bearing. Gas tank is plumbed, Front center, and Left and Right rear with fuel pump on bottom
outside of tank (there is always fuel when you need it, never runs dry) Disc brakes on all corners. Sway bars F&R. Road race oil pan w/trap doors in side. keeps oil at pick up at all times. Royal purple 20W50 electric fans on radiators with engine oil, trans coolers (push pull fans) all steel functional cowl induction hood (One off). AC works.
Saginaw PS pump, Trans Am ws6 rear steering gear. Torker intake Has visibility &
light group with Group 19 equip kits.
After so many years it becomes hard to remember all the mods make. some ideas worked and some didn't so they were revised. I think I have covered most of the
mods, certainly not all. One last thing car is repainted with Glycerite two stage
paint, NO bondo. Just very little mega glass filler where need. AMC was not known
for there attention to detail, but I was. Frame rail connectors for example.2.5 X
flowmeter with custom built headers. Currently has 56000 miles on her.
ideals like a truck but runs like a top when pushed. Love this car. but time for a new
project. Lake a Marauder. I can not think of anything else I can do to the AMX.
Car weights 3200 lbs. with driver. Racaro Seats 5 point harness 4 point roll bars wielded to frame of car. and upholstered. 19134 AMX made during the three year fun
as a separate model. Than was phased into a trim package for various other lines
And now for the price $25K will talk. Wife says I need to sell to make room for
the Marauder I want to buy. I have my eye on two of them. Thanks for looking.
