So my ac stopped working this morning. Here are the symptoms. When I first turned the ac on I had only a little airflow through the vents on normal ac with no flow on max ac. When I try to adjust fan speed all I hear is what sounds like a relay clicking but no airflow out of any vent settings. Turned the car and restarted multiple times with change. Ran the eatc self test (off + vent followed by auto) and all lights on unit became illuminated after test. Now there is no flow even on normal ac but I can hear the compreesor cycling. Any ideas? Thanks in advance Dave

Sounds like the BCM (Blower Control Module) I just replaced mine on Sat...same symptoms..felt the a/c but no fan blowing..Go to the "shop talk" forum below..There areat least two threads..one from me and another with pics and how to on changing it out yourself if you wish. mine now works since changing it out.

Here is a link to one of the threads..there is a couple of threads in "shop talk"

Give a few taps to the BCM which is the small black box with a plug coming out of it located behind the passenger side cam cover on the heaterbox. I tapped mine a few times and it kicked the fan on.

Thank u to Rubbercty and Blackened. I tapped on the BCM and it started working again. Did you change out the BCM even though it started working again Blackened?

You can tap it again but eventually it will stop working, so you should change it.

I haven't yet. Its been over a year since it first started acting up and the quick tap gets it going each time. Also my car spends more time in the garage then on the road so using it on a daily basis would probably make it fail altogether.

Im with Jim, replace before you find yourself without AC.

I think you can re-soder something and it should be as good as gold again. There is a thread on it somewhere.

So tapping the BCM worked twice then it quit completely. Bought the part today and installed. All I can say is ******* pain in the balls. Recharged the ac which was at 10psi. Blowing ice at idle and around town but can't figure out why at highway speeds my ac is alot warmer???? Had the same problem at highway speeds prior to changing BCM but figured it just needed to be recharged. Makes no sense to me, so I'll thow up the hellmary and hope someone has the answer.

Do you mean warmer on the freeway or at WOT?

A lot of tunes will cut the air at WOT to give more horsepower.

Anyone have any idea? I am leaning toward a problem with my blend door...

Might be overcharged and the high pressure switch is cutting out the compressor at higher RPMS.

Recharged the ac which was at 10psi.If it needed recharging then it has a leak. Get a competent A/C shop to put in the dye and find the leak and fix it before you do anything else.

The blend door is the only one that's not vacuum-actuated so it doesn't care if you're at idle or speed.

Had the same symptoms prior to recharging so I think overcharge is out. Doesn't seem rpm based more speed based which is why I think the blend door might be venting outside air
