Alright, I ordered and have my gauges. :banana2:

Question, for the transmission temperature gauge (Autometer 6549). Where do I install the temp sender?

For the AEM 30-4100, how many are using the rear O2 sensor hole vs how many choose to weld in a new bung?

Last question, for now, where are you getting the power for the gauges?

Thanks!
Anthony

You can install the tranny temp sender in the tranny or in the line going to the tranny cooler.

Power questions: Where are you installing the gauge(s)?

There is a test port on the drivers side towards the front that is the same thread as the guage. Keep in mind that this is immediatly down stream of the TC so temps will be slightly higher.

Just weld in the new bung they give you.

These are being mounted in the A-pillar.

Bob, are you referring to the tranny line?

Thanks!

You can tap right into the fuse box above the ebrake. If you put a light down under there, you can look down at the base of the pillar (from outside the windshield) and fish your wires easily. You can use a voltmeter to see what powers on with lights on to tap into that for the gauge lights and tap into a line that has voltage on when the key is turned on (wether lights are on or off) for the gauge itself.

On the wideband, you want the sensors before the cats for an accurate reading

Placed the following inline with the line that flows from the transmission to the cooler ( the sensor screws into it ) ...

Definitely do not put it in the test port...fluid is only there in certain gears...and you will primarily get.the temp reading if the case itself.

Why not just get an aeroforce gauge, plug it in the OBD II and call it a day

What he said. Times two for the aeroforce on a triple gauge pod.

If you choose to install the trans temp sending unit in line place it in the return line fro trans to coolerer. This will give you the best trans temp.
