Seat warmers - have to use the manual method
Self waxing feature - inop
Spouse throttle limiter - stolen (at least that's what she said)
Fuel regeneration system - needs new flux capaciter
Air Conditioner - Auto regulating feature inop - all on or off (at least it works strong in this heat). Manually regulated by cracking a window.
Irratating sweaking noise coming from the front suspension (better from there than the passenger seat)

power pedal adjustment, that's about it.
The paint is "operable," but I've got a couple spots that are showing a orange peel defect, so a new paint job's gonna be in order within a few years.
My gas pedal always seems to be sticking to the floor! :D :burnout:

Self waxing feature - inop
Anyone know a fix for this??? Mine doesn't work either...
Air Conditioner - Auto regulating feature inop - all on or off (at least it works strong in this heat). Manually regulated by cracking a window.
I had same problem when I bought my MM, found the cabin temp sensor unplugged... It's just to the right of the HVAC controls, inside the little vent openings...
Adj pedals are inop(don't really care)
LED is out in the drivers up window sw
Minor damage to console
Rear bumper could use touch up on paint rub
These issues all were included at no extra cost when I bought it...

Hmm...
Crappy roof paint..
My A/C decided to quit working about the time I had a trouble call 100 miles away and was enroute on Friday evening.. Then decided to start working again.. then quit.. then worked fine..
Fans run, compressor doesn't cycle very long.. nothing obvious.. other than the compressor acts like it's a bit low on 134a..
Stopped by the dealer (they take care of me) Saturday morning.. it was a bit overcharged (they changed the evap core last summer & hasn't been touched).. recovered.. pulled vacuum.. recharged..
And well.. it seems to like being overcharged.. close to 3lbs (I think the sticker under the hood says 38oz).. and it's so cold it hurts my hand when I rest it on the steering wheel in front of the vent.. but I'm not complaining.. it's 110F (heat index) most days and I'm not real fond of anything above 65..
There's probably a few other things too.. but nothing major.. other than it seems like the throttle may like to stick & I may have a gas leak though.. I sure do stop by the gas station a lot.. haha ;)

Had the regulators go in both of my Rauders, guess it's somewhat common on panthers.

the inside of the driver side door where you stick your finger to pull the door shut...that's peeling off from the bottom edge. thinking about just taking it apart and using some glue on it...poj

I had both window motors go in my 2000 Town Car, and I can feel the same problem beginning on my 2004 MM. It was a pain to fix because I replaced both the regulators and for some reason Ford riveted them in there so I had to drill them out. Not looking forward to doing it again. Anyone have an easier way?
fesifisky
08-15-2011, 04:46 AM
Ford definitely likes the rivets in the doors. Not sure if it's possible with the regulators, but my buddy used stronger/bigger rivets on my door lock actuators when they broke loose in both my MMs. Not really an easier way, but they seem to last once that's done.

Paint kicks ass, its like my car has a kevlar shield for what I put it through. The Black 03 I had was horrible.
Wheels are looking "meh"
Inop items. The damn power pedals (other MM did this)
Crunchy brake pedal.
ALL is well other than those few items.
Edit: cold start squeal. Still haven't chased that ***** (Female dog) down yet. Now that its warm outside the car doesn't do it.

Giving the mirror a twist usually gets it to dim properly. The rest of the time it does it on its own. Might maybe be a loose connection or corrosion between the mirror and the cable.
And I hardly ever roll down the front passenger window.

Whenever I get gas, I open the trunk to pull the fuel door release cable. Some day I'll breakdown and order a replacement for the button on the driver's door.

1. Idle Blower Motor replace (would stall at idle, common problem easy fix) 40K
2. Stuck Driver's Side Window (My fault, operator error. Easy fix) 45K
3. Burned out AC Compressor (Life in FL in a Black car.) 75k
4. Radiator Fan has cracked and made a horrible rattling noise (workin on it) 78K
5. Radio Fades out on FM Stations Only (Workin on it) 78k
Also, the Engine Mounts have squeaked ever since I got the car at the slightest movement. It's odd, but it's not a problem. Lotsa fun times with this car, and it's still the most reliable car I've ever owned (I've known days of woe).
