Ok so I saw on here where some guys have Magnaflow 11256 mufflers that are 18" body, 24" overall and 4"x9" oval center offset...now what about Magnaflow 13216 mufflers that are 14" body, 20" overall and 4"x9" oval center offset...both are 2.5" both ends...now for my ?

Would there be a problem with running the smaller muffler(13216) on a MM? Gonna get the rear cat delete and delete tips.

How much noisier? Are we talking annoying or a better tone? Im wanting a nice grumble at cruise but I wanna hear her when I goose it or get on it.

The 14" magnaflow is what comes on on their Mustang catback 79-04. It'll just have more volume, some guys here have gone with the 14" muffler. I have the 18" on my Marauder and the 14" on my Mach 1, neither seem obnoxious.

So I stopped by Meineke to have them cut off my rear cats and they wanted to charge me $150...Hah! Not a chance. He told me that price after I told him I wanted my old cats back...oh well I will find somone.

Yea Bob my thoughts exactly...they must think I'm a complete idiot...my dad is a mechanic...I know my p[rices for services and junk...my dad just doesn't do welding thats all...

So does anyone else have the 13216 magnaflows on their MM? Like them? I can get them cheaper than the larger 11256 mufflers.

I have the polished version on my Marauder. They're quite loud, but that's with headers, high flow cats and an x-pipe. The sound is VERY aggressive. On a stock exhaust I don't think they'd be too bad, but that's just a guess.

EDIT: As a side note, I have the 18" Magnaflows on my '07 Town Car with stock dual 2" exhaust and h-pipe and they're way too quiet. So if it was me, I'd go with the 14" Magnaflows on an otherwise stock Marauder exhaust.
