So I was heading to visit family when a 2003 or so nissan
Maxima cut me off. This incited a race to me and so it begun.
I have a 2000 Merc. g.m and it started to bog out at 115 or so
What the heck? I have a cold air intake and a pair of Magnaflows.
Help me out cause I cant go out like that. Yes I believe I lost,
Cause I was gunnin' it and he was still ahead. However there was a
Semi in my lane and I was able to cut the maxima off but he may
Have given up or his stop couldve been up. Ughhhh Help?

You probably hit the rev limiter.
BTW... you shouldn't be street racing.... Keep it on the track!

Get a tune to eliminate the governor. Also keep the dramatic stories about what you do above the speed limit to yourself. Things are a bit sensitive around here on that.

I have a 2010 maxima. It ain't no joke. They go very fast especially when I kick it over to manual shift with the toggle. They may be ugly but I look good in it. Who wants to drive fast going straight? If you feel the need to tell us what happened in a street race just label it a closed course run. My boss goes to those all the time. There is nothing like hitting curves at 110 and dukes hazard style around corners. That is why I have performance tires, suspension and racing pedals.lol.
