West Coast GTG.......Any interest?

Would really like to get the ball rolling and try to get as many MMs together as we can. Any interest or suggestions is welcome. Come on guys they do it every year on the East Coast, i know there are a lot of MM owners out here. Even if its not every year we should at least get together once. Who knows where it will go from there.:)

Let's throw out some ideas. The Las Vegas idea that was thrown out previously. A trip to LA since there seems to be some people down there?

Or local stuff, say a meet up at Cache Creek Casino and then their buffet for lunch. We never did the Santa Cruz run. Then a stop at the boardwalk for the laser tag?

I think there are Marauders out here (we've seen them on sightings), just wish they would come to an event and be known. We have to add families to the events. Like meet up at the Winchester House or Tech Museum and then take the tour. Or meet up outside the Egyptian Musuem in San Jose and then tour the tomb.

Meet up at my favorite burger joint in Moutain View. Clarkes Burger.

I'm just brainstorming. If we did something fun maybe more would come?

How far north would be a doable road trip? I think there are guys in the Washington area. I've been wanting to check the Sci Fi musuem up there.

I think that if actual turnout or RSVP is bad, that could be a problem however on getting our events together.

We need more active West Coast members. :-(

haha Marauderless I feel insufficient to head that role. But perhaps its time to Plan a NorCal Marauder meet. Lets throw some dates/days out.

Maybe - focus on a quick GTG then a larger run.

Well I retired in July and the wife and I have been touring from Montery up to Half Moon Bay for lunch outings.

She finally got the chance to drive the MM last week to Half Moonbay...she had a big smile upon returning home..me thinks I opened Pandora's box!!

Am open to San Jose or Monteray area GTG?

On an other note...had the MM smoged today and she passed A-OK!

Only issue is a partially colapsed 90 degree rubber tube located at the PVV valve..Ford part at $38.90! Am thinking over my options before I spring for the OEM part. hate to be over charged

The proposed Las Vegas meet at the Shelby facility looks more likely for next spring. If you all get something worked up for this summer or early fall I'd be up for it. Always looking for an excuse to take a road trip with the Marauder. :)

Santa Cruz is good. But how about a 2 day meet with a cruise down hiway 1 from Monterey? You could do Hearst Castle and maybe go as far as Paso Robles for some fantastic wineries and great food? You'll think you're in Italy. And of course the beaches are great too!

Hearst Castle sounds like a nice road trip but probably one we need to plan for. Its a good 4hour drive if we take the scenic route HWY 1.

Well if Hearst is chosen I would have to agree 2-day event? should be a cruise we enjoy and not feel rushed.

Thoughts? Cruise to Hearst, meet n greet, photo op then tour facilities, dinner adjourn to lodging next day breakfast maybe one stop photo op then cruise home? Ok something like that...lol

September 10, 2011..2nd Annual 9-11 Tribute Show n Shine.. Mark your calendars! Ca-Mustangs.com chose to host this on the 10th because this is the 10th anniversary. More info to come, Show will be at Elk Grove Ford. This is just a heads up for those who need the time to plan or take off from work.

Appreciate the thought, man. I can't speak for the others, but I don't mind driving to the bay area. From Utah we can make it in a day. For our Denver members it is a two day trip, though, so not sure what their thoughts are.

FWIW, my only limitation is that I have some training happening on Sept. 11th, so that Sunday is out for me. Otherwise I'm wide open. Really hoping I can make an event with you folks, but if that weekend is chosen don't sweat it, I'll just catch you all next time. :)
