Ok, I'll admit I've been soft on the loud pedal in an effort to conserve fuel for my work .
The last fill went 314.3 miles on 15.75 gallons this was mostly rural backroads comuting to Fontana Wi.
That = 19.95 MPG
I did boost a few times but mostly just short shifted and went the speed limit.
This is three miles per gallon better than my average of 17

I tried that out of curiosity for one week while working in Zion. 320+ miles on 16 gallons. Not bad. It's too hard to not stab the gogo pedal and hear the Eaton whine.

My foot would not be so much in the gas if the tranny was not so quick to up shift

I've given up on managing MPG (gas prices are what they are - They (oil companies) have us where they want us - I keep O/D off and my foot in it and smile all day at 3K RPM and 17MPG and revel in that WONDERFUL ROAR of the DOHC mill and pull from 60mph/3k RPM to WHATEVER!

I meant out of a tank of gas how much of that is city driving and how much is highway driving? (Ex.50% city, 50% highway)

This was a mix , no expressway, no stop and go (rush hour) all rural highway and 25-35 through the small towns.
The last fill on the GMQ LSE HPP it yielded 18.95 MPG

My MM before 4:10's, JLT CAI, MO"s tune got 23.5, now with up changes I get 20.3. I drive fairly aggressively and usually not over 5 over speed limit.
As for the satisfaction meter I am more than happy to give up the 3mpg for the performance I am now experiencing. Now when I hit the gas it feels like I stepped on a cat's tail and not a grape.

My all time best was 27, all highway coming back from WI. But usually it's city driving for me and consistently average around 14.

I averaged 23mpg with 4.10's driving back from Oklahoma when I bought the MM last year and haven't drove it since.. Eaton swap is about done and going to Lidio in a week or 2 to get tuned. Then a 1200 mile road trip next month to NC for a wedding, so I'm curious what it'll get on the long haul.
