Seatbelt not retracting properly

The seatbelt in my Marauder does not seem to retract properly. Can this be fixed or does the whole unit have to be replaced?

I have take apart the panels in my '95 F-150 to fix the same issues, a little WD-40 did the trick.

If you have it, try blowing out the mechanism with a little compressed air before the WD-40. No compressed air - no problem, the WD will wash most of the crud out. Have a rag handy for overspray/run-off. You do have to take the trim off to get to the retractor/tension unit.
