Will the Pacesetter longtube headers for the 03-04 Mach1 fit on our car? I know if they do, it won't be perfect but has anyone used them?

I have a set on order for my Mach 1, I could try to eyeball it a bit and see if something would obviously interfere. It would be a very cheap alternative if it does fit.

Pacesetter's quality is rather lacking. They would fit but you'd have to modify some stuff for them to fit correctly, egr hookup and such. Best bet is to buy KOOKS or SW headers.

What if your EGR is deleted? Will there still be problems with the steering assy., or is the egr the major hindrance

Then you just have to block off the nipple/tube on the header, which for non-marauder headers will be on the passenger side. The steering assy/knuckle is a different story, might have to shim the driver side motor mount, trim part of the steering shaft and/or make clearance on one of the tubes by denting it in some.

I don't know if they offer LT's for the mm but I know on majority of cars they offer an off-road version without the egr bung

Are there any clearance issue with SW headers. I thought i remembered hearing about a slight steering knuckle issue.

I had no fitment issues at all with SW MAUCAT system. No issues with steering shaft and plenty of room for starter. Highly recommend SW.

My EGR tube had to be bent to mate up to the header, my steering shaft had to be ground down a little cause they rubbed. The starter has plenty of room and they are much easier to install then a Kooks setup.

I've had no problems with my Kooks headers, replaced the trans, starter and pulled the engine with them attached, all on seperate occasions. No rubbing with the steering shaft either, and the EGR tube fit mainly because of the Trilogy flexible tube.
The only reason to try any of the other ones besides SW and Kooks is price, I could buy 3 sets of Pacesetters for the price of either of the Marauder specific ones. It all depends on your budget and how much "custom" tweeking you can handle to make it work.
