I received a safety recall notice in the mail yesterday and wanted to pass along this info to all. I've only been a member since Feb this year, but haven't seen any threads related to this issue; if there is a thread out there already, sorry for repeating, but this is important to have repeated.

The recall is for aftermarket sunroofs that were installed using Webasto Product North America, Inc...specifically, Hollandia 600/700 and Hollandia TVS 900 sunroofs. Apparently the glass may completely debond from its frame, which means it could fall in your lap or fly off your MM completely.

If you have the Hollandia 600/700 (single pane of glass) and your serial number falls between 6000000 and 6396298, it needs to be fixed. This is what I have and my serial number falls within the range above.

If you have the Hollandia TVS 900 (two pane) and it has a black plastic bar crossing the sunroof from side to side and has 'Webasto' logo embossed on it, it needs to be fixed.

When I get a chance, I will scan the documents I received and post on here for all to see. I know from personal experience that not all recalls reach the current owner of the vehicle, so wanted to pass this info on to everyone. Would hate to see someone post on here, "I was driving to work the other day and my sunroof fell on my head/flew off and hit the car behind me".

The phone number to reach WPNA on this recall is 1-888-749-8632.

I have got a few notices on this but have not looked in to it too much. Plus my sunroof is not working at all so a good time to fix that too.

Please forgive my ignorance but, are we talking OEM moon roofs or aftermarket? I am an original owner and have not received any notices.
