I need some help finding a rattle in the front end when it goes over a bump it sounds like something is just laying in there bouncing around.
just changed the upper and lower ball joints sway bar links pulled the air box to check the air pump motor pulled the bumper cover off changed the sway bar mount bushings. I cant find it driving me crazy its on the left side. Any body have a guess before i blow this thing up?
It's the center cap on your rim.

My friends Supercoupe had a rattle over bumps in his front end. It was the brake pads rattling around that drove him nuts. Try checking to make sure the hardware that holds them in the caliper are intact.

It might be the hood latch / bumpers. Try popping the hood and riding over a few bumps.

You sure its coming from the front? The parking brakes are known to just fall apart on these cars.
Like a squeaking bounce noise or like a rock in an empty coffee can type noise?

Maybe a tool fell in there somewhere. I dropped a wrench once and it fell out a couple days later.

You check the sheilds on the cats? make sure they aren't rattling around. Also do you have headers? I pulled all kinds of things out from in between the tubes that would make all kinds of noise on my friends GTO.

Maybe pull the air filter housing and look by the air pump.

On my GM they were bad. Drove me crazy till I found out. Internally they rattled, not shields.

On my Dodge truck it was the cord for the heated block swinging around that drove me nuts for 2 YEARS!
Motor mount popping around?

found it some real bright guy left a spark plug under the hood that made its way between the splash shield and the fender on the left side. Thanks for the help and stop laughing

I'm only laughing at the mental picture of "driving with the hood up"

Good thing you drove with the hood up, or the sparkplug wouldnt have tripped and fell trying to get out of the sun!

Is the drop in power noticeable with only 7 spark plugs now? :D
