I have been looking for that clear plastic bra to protect the front bumper area but I can't find any info on it. I seen it on a members car at the Kentucky meet a couple years back. Does anybody know what its called exactly or where I can get it? Thanks!

I had it on the front part of my hood to try to minimize rock chips....It left a visible line at the edges...so I removed it...

Hope this helps.......

Be careful with this stuff...... Some people sell kits that use inferior laminates. These sheets are pre-cut to fit specific vehicles. Most of the time they don't fit that well...

You will want 3M material to work with, as the other stuff "yellows" quickly.
This stuff is not permanent. It will have to be replaced every 3-4 yrs.

Lastly, the installer has alot to do with what the application will look like a year afterwards. Get references and see work already done. See it in person, not in pictures.

The guys I knew who did this (when I was in the car biz back 01-04) were the 1st installers in Metro ATL. This explanation comes from them. I watched them install/fit with exacto knives, many vehicles with 3M film. They were getting upwards of $600 per car depending on type & difficulty of the install. Guessing prices have dropped some, but in this case, seeing the work of guys they competed with every now and again, you definately get what you pay for with this stuff.

Good luck:beer:

Thanks for all the quick replies! I didn't realize it was going to cost that much and probably be in need of pro. installation... I guess this one is going on the list for next year.

Yeah its something you want to have a pro do for warranty reasons and it's a royal pain to make sure it's smooth around curves and bends.

I've wanted the clear bra too. But instead went with a OEM bra that I bought from a member here.

I have an uncle that has had it on his last 3 cars. He swears by it! On his cars, I didn't even know it there until he mentioned it.
