I was with SergentMac today and he asked me. My Marauders name is Suzy, in tribute to one of my favorite Ramones songs Suzy Is A Headbanger. Sense the car bangs my head back into the headrest.

I know we asked this before, but it's been a while and we have had new members join sense the last thread.

So what's your cars name?

Also is it a boy or girl?

Song my car is named after...

Mine is named "Silver Phoenix". Will get a license plate to match soon: AGPHX112

Was originally thinking SILVRPHX, but saw another way to have silver on my plate via the license plate thread. (AG is the chemcial symbol for silver) 112 is the production number.

I have two cars, both named and both are believed to be of the female persuasion.

My 1993 Mustang LX convertible is "Lucy", with a vanity plate as her nametag.

My 2007 Shelby GT is "LuLu", also with a vanity plate nametag.

Strolling back a few years, my 2003 Marauder, the Kenny Brown #1X was named "Patches", and my 2010 Lincoln Navigator was named "Lucifer". My third Marauder, a b one stock SB, was purchased by a member here and I've been told the car's name is "Pheobe", but I'lll leave it to the owner to explain more.

'Comeon folks, speak up. Several years ago we hosted a poll here and the replies and posts ran into pages. Naming a car (male, female, or something neutral) isn't something new or trendy. I'm 59 years old now and as I grew up, my father owned dozens of cars. Every one of them had a name. BTW, only one of them was named ***II. Some cars he didn't care for very much and he rolled them over quickly, however, only once did he use a name again. That car must have been very special to him.

So...Speak up y'all, we know you're out here somewhere.

Usually just refer to "her" as the "Black Beast".

All my cars were referred to as "she", female, as in "She's got a lot of pep today."

MM03MOK
08-25-2011, 11:25 AM
Our "first-born" is named Blackbird, after the SR-71. Keeping the "bird" theme, we named our "second-born", Phoebe (SergntMac's former "#3"), after the MA State bird's chirp. The Blackcapped Chickadee says "Phoe-beee" and the bird is silver, black and white. Each has their own Mascot sitting on the dash that sings their song.

The '68 Skylark Custom ragtop is "Fesarius". Our old '93 Supercoupe was "Superchicken" or "MOKMobile."

SB Marauder with ProCharger is "Morpheus" - Greek god of sleep cause it really is a sleeper.

2006 Bronze Grand Marquis is "Geez", short for Geezermobile. Got my wife one of those Geezer snap brim caps for Mother's Day back when I got it. She doesnt wear the hat, though. Don't know why. Probably should have gotten her the platinum necklace instead of the hat... It sure is cold out here in backyard at night!!

The 2011 Expedition Max is "Herk" as in the Herkimer Battle Jitney from the movie "Mystery Men".

Her Mazda 3 is just called "little car", which it sure is beside the other guys.

Oh and the previous GMs, CV and the Caprice Classic were all known as "The Bourge" from Bourgeois-mobile because starting back in 1977, there sure were!
