About Brown Line

In 2006, a group of engineers and self-professed “shade tree mechanics” in East Texas decided to tackle a problem that had irritated them as they worked on their cars. Why was it that a quality torque wrench was so expensive? Being engineers, they set out to fix this problem, and began to design a torque wrench that was highly precise, yet affordable. Numerous ideas and prototypes later, they finally developed the “Double Gear Sensing System” — an incredibly accurate system for reading torque that is inherently less expensive to manufacture than competing technologies.
Brown Line Metalworks LLC was formed in 2007 to take this exciting new technology to market. Working in partnership with the engineers who developed the system, Brown Line is ready to revolutionize the industry with the release of our patent pending Digital Torque Wrench.

Welcome to the site!

Great looking torque wrench.
Being a 'tool junkie', as I was watching the video, I was wondering if my overloaded roll-away could handle one more wrench....:hmmm:

Any warranty on these units?

Sorry for the delay in responding to this. Our warranty is industry standard: 1 year from date of purchase, 90 days for calibration. We have a repair / calibration facility in Chicago in case anything ever does need to be done to the wrench.

I ordered one of the Brownline wrenchs I saw on our site. It arrived today. WOW! I was replacing my Craftsman Digitorque with this wrench. It exceeds my expectations by powers of ten. In one torque, I can do inch-pounds AND foot-pounds, instead of using two different wrenches.

I installed my new race heads on the '89 Mustang engine and setting the heads was easy and accurate with my new toy. Thanks to Jim at Brownline for a great tool.

I received mine last week, a sweet looking tool. As I removed it from the box I announced to the wife that "I'll be a torquing fool". She replied "You're only half right". Just not feelin' the love. :(

What you will want to do is press the “Buy Now” button on the website. This will take you to the “Purchase Online” section. There is a pull-down menu with two options. You want to select the wrench with case option ($150 retail). Then press “Add to Cart”. This will then take you to a window where there is a space to enter your zip code as well as a coupon code. This is where you want to enter “MM”. Then press “Update Cart” and the $99 price will appear. You can then check-out using Paypal or Google-Checkout. You can also use a credit card if you do not have a Paypal account, but you still need to press the Paypal button. Please let me know if this does not solve the problem for you.

If you have any problems you can call me at 312-884-7644.
