I got my dyno results after Reinhart flash, pulleys, and Kooks headers/x-pipe/magnaflows. My stock numbers with only a K&N filter were: 237.9hp and 256.8 tq. Today with these mods plus I added 4.10 gears the results were: 291.3hp and 301.8tq. The air/fuel was very flat at 14-13 from 4,000 to 6,000rpm. The reinhart flash definitely improves engine responsiveness and transmission shift performance. The car feels much more powerful and the shift points are greatly improved. Thanks to Dennis. The Magnaflows are a little loud for me and I may change them if I can find a quieter performance muffler that will fit this setup. The Magnaflows sound good, but they are LOUD when you get on the throttle. I still have to install the thermostat and denso plugs. John

Congrats John...just curious, did you go with the 18" Magnaflows? That's what I have and I REALLY like the sound when I "get on the throttle"...but as we've said here before, sound is very subjective.

GREAT #s!!!

Nice numbers for a NA Marauder! I would be interested in the numbers after the Denso install...supposedly they add some HP....this would be a good test....

Congrats, John, those are great numbers. The Denso plugs and 180 stat will add more to the fine tune. You may want to check your AFR numbers with Dennis, if it were my MM, I'd like to see them a bit lower. Detonation is deadly with this engine.

that is impressive. the exhaust mod appears to be a good bang for the buck. My A/F ratio on the the dyno was 12.5 though.

That 's my problem-- the only item left stock is the mufflers--and they sound great--of course it's difficult to hear them over the loud roar from up front when WOT--at that point you just hold-on..and all sound sounds great at that point!!! Whoops..sorry...

Thanks for all of the replies. I will give dennis a call on the air/fuel to see if I am a safe. The air/fuel trace lays right on top of the stock trace up to 5,000 rpm and then the stock curve drops abruptly to 11:1. My as modified trace continues at 13:1 up to 6,200 rpm. These mods definitely wake the car up and are less than 1/2 the cost of a supercharger. Now if I could just quiet it down a little. Also, I do have the 18" magnaflows and they do sound great, but are just a little too loud for this old guy!! John

Maybe you should take it back to the dealer and ask him where the advertised 302hp went....:)

But you sure got a nice increase with the mods!!! :)

240-ish hp at the rear wheels puts it more or less at 300-ish hp at the crank, which is how SAE rates engine output, for the Marauder. It seems to be accepted that the Marauder drivetrain saps about 20% of the engine output along the driveline, most likely due to a looser converter, steeper gears, and the taller/heavier wheels and tires.

I was wondering a few things, one is I just had a stage 1 Reinhart kit installed 3 weeks ago, a real nice improvement, does it make sence to have it dino tuned ? Also I've had Magaflow mufflers on my Chevy truck and they were too load for me ,but I do want to do a improvement on my exhaust, does it make sence to put high flow cats on and leave the existing exhaust on? Would I gain anything worth while on this?
