Under Hood Paint Detailing

OK... I pulled the insulation blanket from under my hood and cleaned it up real good. It appears that since this area was going to be covered Ford/Mercury did a really s****y job of painting it...:confused:
Did y'all have this problem too? did you touch up paint with hood on car and what did you use? Surely not a rattle can...;)
My plan was to paint the insulation blanket (God's Head) just for shows...

Yeah both of the 03s I have had weren't painted well at all under the hood. My first 03 wasn't hardly painted under the trunk either.
