New Guy From Cleveland

Whats up everyone, new to to forum. I have loved Marauders since they first came out. I used to own a Crown Vic Police Interceptor a few years ago. I currently own a 2006 Trailblazer SS, and my wife has a small Japanese car that we are looking to replace with a bigger, more family friendly car. A buddy of mine has owned a black 2003 marauder since 06 and I am about to buy it off of him for a great price. My question is, is there anything in particular that the marauders are known for having problems with? What should I look for, besides the obvious stuff? I love these cars and look forward to being a proud Marauder owner. Thanks!

Nah my TBSS is silver. Its my name on the tbss forum and the other forums I belong to. Funny story behind that.. there actually used to be a silver marauder in my neighborhood that had "hihosilv" on the plate. I thought that was pretty cool. The marauder was totaled just before I got my silver ss, so I took over the nickname.

Thanks everyone! I just saw a really clean black one on the east side on i90, it flew up on me, I was in my work van. This one had a bunch of LEDs in the grille, windshield and in the rear window. Looked like an LEO driving, he got off at the e.9th street exit.. Maybe someone here?

There is also a Blue one in the Berea/ Brookpark area with "BLU BY U" on the plates. lookes like on older lady drives it. Its all beat up =/

Alright so I just went and checked it out, everything mechanically seems to be very solid. It does have and issue blower not working correctly. He just put a new blower motor in, and that didn't help :dunno:.. Also the power adjustable pedals dont work. I can feel the motor working but the pedals just wont move. Other than that though the car looks great, drives very nice too. Smooth ride, engine sounds good, trans shifts good. So very soon it will be in my garage!:D

Where can I decode this VIN number to get the numbers on this car??

Welcome from a little south of you..Akron..The blower issue may be the BCM or Blower Control Module..I just replaced mine a few weeks ago. There is a write up in the Shop Talk section on how to do. What issue is the blower having?

I was there! I saw the Marauders in the corner of the lot, look really good fellas! I was the young looking guy in a yellow shirt pushing my 2 year old in his stroller. FastMerc, yours looks gorgeous, definitely sounded wicked too. I ran into a couple friends (purple challenger convertible, and black 70 GTO) and was talking to them for a while. I was walking back to take a closer look at the 2 Marauders and say hello, but as I was walking back you guys were headed out. Oh well, hopefully soon I can join you guys back there and I'll have to get the Marauder leather jacket :beer:

The guy I bought my Marauder from had a TBSS and a Marauder.

He also had a Saleen Mustang and Whipple'd Cobra.

Now he has a Pontiac G8 GXP pushing something like 550WHP.
