Yes & yes All that is ,is the inside of the blower is ported I know steigemeir calls his biggest port job a stage 5 not sure how posi classifieds his. If you can get a ported Eaton for good price do it, It is simply a upgrade from a stock Eaton and man them ported sound awesome alot more whine. Another note you get that stuff from Zack?

What Doom said! you may need a bigger pulley cause a good port job will make more boost with same size pulley as a stock!

i will, i plan on keeping it at safe numbers until i can get a built motor. is that stage 5 just way too much to use? its 126 on it now is it too much to boost? if not then whats a safe range to keep her in? car was very well maintained. i am the second owner. he said he has always used Royal purple in it and oil changed on or before due.

Just get a GOOD TUNE and keep the boost reasonable and you will be fine.

440 - 460RWHP is where I would stay at.

Those were good prices on his stuff Personally I wouldnt pass on them! Ive seen several guys boost there car at over a 100,xxx Truly I think it's fine if vehicle was well taken care, As for boost just wouldnt push it over aprox 11-12 lbs. Actually with stock size pulley it should be fine.

Mine's a Posi knock-off that I've been doing myself. Plenum/elbow is ported and welded up too. IAT temps will be lower and boost pressure will be lower. HP/TQ will be more with less pressure because pressure is the effect of restriction. Less restriction = less pressure, yet, more power. ;)

*update* the blower is the Steg port so i declined it. i dont want the issues of the plate breaking or cracking. but i will gain all the other parts for a great price. im still in the market for the blower.

whipple maybe?

Just so you know.

Porting a blower isn't expensive at all.

Get your eaton and then send it out to get ported. Doesn't take long at all.

Easy there, bubba. Whipples aren't cheap. ;)

Doomie's suggestion is a good one. You can get a used Eaton, have it ported for a whole lot less than you'll spend on a Whipple.

If I was to buy a USED EATON the first thing I would do is send it out to posi performance and have brian rebuild it and port it!

That way you wont have any surprises once that blower go's on!

what are some issues of the eaton since you say send off for rebuild & port

Make sure all the Teflon coating is on the rotors. spin the rotors by hand. You want the bearings to move smoothly. Hold the left rotor carefully and slightly rotate the pulley/right rotor back and forth. If there's any play/knocking noise, you need or will need a new coupler.

FWIW, you can buy stock, re-built cores from Stiegy. They'll cost you more than one off e-Bay or from a seller on SVTP, but they're warrantied, and will be in OEM condition.

I didn't do what Bill recommended, and had some issues, so I ended up getting a re-built core as a result.

There is also PSE Superchargers. The already have rebuilt Eatons. Works on a core charge system I think. I've talked to them a little.
