There is someone in Europe that has a Trilogy twinscrew blower. I could of sworn it was you that had it.

Ok if I buy the Ford Racing 4:10 gears do I need anything else for the install??? or just what comes in the box? How hard is it to do the swap myself? Does anything need pressed in?

You will need the gear lube, friction modifier if the gear lube doesn't have it included. (Bottle will say LS on it if it is in there). -3 to 4 bottles.

I went ahead and bought both innner and outer pinion bearings and a pinion nut and crush washer.

That should about cover it.

Took my wrench about 2 1/2 hours to do it while my MM was on a lift. (He has done dozens of these and could do it blindfolded)

;)

If you have never setup gears before, I would pay someone that is good with the Ford 8.8 rear-end to do it.

You will need gear paste, a tenth indicator with a magnetice mount, air tools a big help and preferably a lift.

A tube of silicone/gasket sealer, spray cleaner and a ton of shop towels.

If the back-lash is not right on the gears, you won't know it until you drive it. If the gears make noise, back apart it comes.

The pinion gear will have to be pressed on.

Since it's apart I'd replace all the bearings, races & seals, including the axle bearing and seals.

So it sounds like my best bet is to take to someone...my dad is a mechanic but I doubt he would want to mess with all that...wonder what the dealer would charge...

Try and find a shop that the local Mustang guys go to for gear swaps.

Same rear-end as the MM -> 8.8
