My Merc was stolen at around 8:45 tonight outside my shop where I work at (All Out Tattoo) in Norfolk!!!!
Im SUPER pissed about it...If anyone happens to see a black Mercury Marauder around the 757 (Hampton Roads Virginia) keep a look out for me
I know there's a few of us out here already (5 that I know of including me). Outside of the base stickers on it, nothing makes it stand out...I just hope the cops can
find it..
What's your tag number?
Any decals or emblems that would stand out?

Check to be sure you weren't towed. These cars aren't that easy to steal.

Call the tow guys that work in your area. Keep an eye out on cl for your parts. And if you get it back get a tracking device

Man I am so sorry to hear about this I know it makes you mad to your bones!!!!! mine was stolen about 3 months ago and it hurt so bad. I hope you get it back

F****!!!!! That's horrible news and a MARAUDER Owners worst nightmare. I hope you find it quick and still attached. After hearing stuff like this makes me want to install lo-jack or similar systems like it asap.

That's why I have a Lo-Jack on mine as well as a PYTHON 2-way alarm with multiple kill switches.

^^^ Are you able to locate through cell phone and is it live? ^^^ Sorry to derail a bit, but it really really really bothers me to hear another members MARAUDER has gone missin'. I have a Viper Alarm but that's no guarantee. I honestly feel if they want it they'll get it all you can really do is build up the difficulty level and the time it takes to achieve these scumbags goal! Gotta be REAL protective nowadays!!!

That's for sure, with the PATS, AFAIK you ain't driving one off unless you have a key... Towing, well that's another matter...

A buddy and I were talking car alarms/immobilizers that use a fingerprint reader to start and/or unlock the car.
I'm thinking harder after hearing this.

Hey guys how's it going....Nothing heard from the police yet about the Marauder.
As for the questions...Nah, it wasn't towed, It was parked at the shop where I work at property, and there was someone who seen my car driving like a ***** ape pulling off they said but they we're high as hell when they told me at the time so I really paid them no mind at the time (I wish I did this was about 2 hours before I found out my car wad gone!) I defintely had a much better chance of catching them then If I would have.
They took my keys out of the art room in the back of the shop I work at...not for sure if it was a customer or somebody who was just walking by, but my keys were on a art table and one of the counter girls LEFT THE DOOR WIDE THE HELL OPEN!!! So they seen them sitting out in the open right by the door, reached in and grabbed them a took off with my car....all while I was in another section of the shop tattooing.
I live in Va Beach , but the shop is located in Norfolk,Va....right off Azalea Garden and Princess Anne not too far away from "The Points".
My phone is dead ,but, I will try the GPS thing, did I have to actually download an app for that? Because I didn't. Im a call Verizon and see what's up....can't believe I didn't think of that earlier!! Thanks for that!

There is nothing that makes my car stand out, besides my DoD stickers.
Hey was i beside you in traffic about 2 weeks ago, it was piss pouring rain out. I was in my Marauder.
Also, I saw a black Marauder this morning in my neighborhood that I have not spotted before, turning onto Mercury Blvd at 5:20 a.m.

Haha I remember that day!
As for that Marauder I do have one "yellowed" scuff on the bumper now that I think about it...you don't have to be right up on the car to see it either...about a car length actually. It's on the lower right.

The Cops found my whip!!!! I went to check on her today because she's still in the police impound, so far some dings (not major) and a scratch across the hood, front and rear bumper...They b@st@rds ripped my back seats tho (must have had something in there back pockets? ) and stole almost all of my cd's, my underwear and socks(the hell?!?!?) a couple uniform items and thats about it. THey also got my Keys still and my Valet key and owners manual....How would I go about getting my locks changed and reprogramming my keyless entry?
Anyways im rambling, Im going tomorrow to pick up the whip up and see If I got any mechanical damage, and hopefully the detective actually calls me back so I can get some details to shoot to the insurance company! In short gents.....

Great. But why would they do dumb stuff like that for?. Ok so befor you drive the car make sure all is well. take your car to a few body shops and try to get the most expensive qoute for your insurance. Tell them they have the keys so they would also have to pay for that but just tell them you want new keys only no fob. Then when they cut you a check fix what's necessary and with the rest get a viper alam with pager and low jack

Car theft should carry the death penalty just like horse theft in the pioneer days. If it did you would see very little of it!!!:mad2:

Sorry about your ride. Glad you can fix her back up.
You can program out the missing key fob yourself easily. You can read the owners manual online at Motorcraft.com to read the directions. When you go through the procedure it erases already programed fobs and learns the ones you program after the procedure.
Do you have another extra key? If so then you can reprogram that yourself put key one in the ign turn on then off, put the second key in the ign turn on, then off, and only those 2 keys will start the car. If you only have 1 key your first stop should be a locksmith, independent repair shop that has the proper scan tool or the dealer to have them erase the other keys and give you a second. Then you can go to E-bay buy a key for $18 have your local hardware store cut it and program it yourself.
You can replace the door locks w/o changing the ign lock. I don't remember which is which but both locks only share 1 tumbler so the dealer selects a door lock that has the same shared tumbler and they cut the other half of the new keys to match the existing ign lock. Once the PATS has been cleared they won't be able to start the car even if they can turn the key.

So you had extra keys in the car??? Bad move on a paramount scale...
Glad you got it back, keep your keys in your pocket...
When new remotes are programmed the lost ones will no longer function... For the keys, have a dealer change locks, program a new set and disable the originals that are lost, let the insurance co foot the bill...

Great news!
Given the amount of Marauder parts I see on craigslist, you made out well...sounds like they just took it for a joy ride...they probably don't have much experience in stealing cars because that could've been a LOT worse if it was somebody who knew what they were doing.
Do you know how far away the car was when they found it?

That's awesome news, you are probably one of the few lucky ones who find their MARAUDER still together and not demolished!!! Time for some over over over protective mods!
I hope you get it back in the same condition that you parked it in. Pray the tow guys got it and not the snatch and grab tow guys. I know its the shop where you work, did they recently put up tow signs?

As for the condition of the car, just a few dings and scratches...
They took all of my cd's in my shoe box but left most of down south joints....for some reason alot of Virginia cats into hip hop don't think Virginia is the south so they prefer east coast...
Funny thing is when I went back to the shop yesterday these silly ass counter girls had the back door wide open with NO ONE back there AGAIN!!! I flipped the hell out...I can't tolerate repeated blatant acts of stupidity....
Another weird things is these was drinking in my car, and they left a cup in there...they also had fingerprints on the cd's but the cops have YET to dust my car for prints?!?!?? It's Sunday and I still don't know anything about how they found my car or where?

Years ago, in the early 70's, while I was in Grad School, my 70 BOSS was stolen...twice. Both times from the college parking lot. After putting the shell back together again as the car it was, I became a believer in technology to get the car back.
When LoJack came along, it went into all of my cars. I still believe in it. Lucky for me that I have never had to use it. The lessons of the BOSS taught me well.
