Several years ago I had a rock get into my fan assembly and break a blade.
At the time I could not find a replacement blade only and bought a replacement fan/cowl assembly.
I don't drive the MM much (Wife's Car), but noticed recently the fan isn't turning up to a higher speed at idle.
So I have a OEM fan assembly with a broken blade and an aftermarket (Rock) replacement Assembly.that doesn't switch from low speed.
It's fine at speed, but sitting at a stop light raises the guage up and shuts the A/C down.
47K with a recent burp/flush so that isn't the problem.
Basically what I need is a new fan blade, does any other FMC blade work?

Jim, the problem is you can't get a NEW fan blade assembly from Ford, you have to buy the entire assembly (shroud, fan motor, fan blade and controller). I bet a CV or GM would work, but you'll have to source it from a recycle yard.
BTW.... the fan assemblies you get from any FLAPS have a different way to secure the fan blade assembly.

Thanks Jim, I guess I need to know for sure if a CV/GM fan blade will work.
Or... is there a way to reprogram the aftermarket fan controller to work at 3 speeds from my DR tune?
Again, the replacement fan assembly was from Rock Auto.
Have the OEM original, just with a broken fan blade.

I believe that I have an assembly with a dead motor.

The fan in my Mach 1 broke just before I was going on a trip with it. I would've had to take my Marauder and it was love bug season. I took the fan off the Marauder and swapped the blade to the Mach 1. If you can find a Mach 1 fan cheaper than a Marauder, the blade will work.
