Who's gonna be the 1st to try the new TVS 2.3 on there Eaton swap? From TVS all testing they have done it is comparable to the 2.3 Whipple However blower case is approximetly the size of a stock Eaton, On there Test vehicles there seeing mid 600's with this upgrade. Like another member pointed out looks like another good option for us Eaton swap guys!
Same exact size as an eaton blower!!!
And capable of 600+RWHP!!! :awe:

Any number a Termi makes remember to deduct 20% for a Marauder
Any price or a link for this newfangled contraption???

I havent seen any $$ figures yet! But yes there saying it will be nearly the same size as a stk Eaton, But make HP & TQ of a Whipple. On some testing they even said it made more TQ then a Whipple which is also what some of the GT500 guys are seeing. What Mcgyver59 is saying is excatly right gotta remember approx 20% loss on ours verse a termi. It is just nice to see a another option on blowers considering it's a ten year old vehicle... Go DOOM try it out Iam sure you could in the future get a polished one!!

I have 2 friends with 09 GT500's, 1 with a 2.8L LC Kenne Bell they other with a 2.3L TVS, both running at 17lbs. The TVS makes more low end torque earlier, below 5500RPM, and the KB makes more top end power, above 5500RPM. The TVS cost just over 3k while the KB was closer to 8k. The only major difference between the cars is the KB car has LT headers and a full exhaust, while the TVS is stock. It also only took us about an hour to swap the TVS while the KB took most of a day cutting the hood and stacking mounting plates and remote boost bypass.

I also heard the tvs don't heatsoak as bad as twin screw.

Here's a link to the site. It shouldn't cost more than the GT500 blower, so figure around $3500 for blower and elbow.

Waiting to see a polished version. :D :coolman:

That is what they are claiming Landy and I can tell you from driving my Whipple on a HOT day and a 1/2 hr later it is still smokin hoot under the hood. They are also claiming produces less heat then a Whipple or a Heaton.
Didn't know whipples made gobs of heat like the eatons did.
Thought they were supposed to run ALOT COOLER.

Whipples run cooler then a Eaton but still have heat soak any roots type has heat soak, Just from what Ive heard on the TVS is they did a ton of R&D for issues like this.

From what I have experienced around here the Whipple will no make two identical passes back to back like I have seen the tvs do.

I have the Terminator with the the VMP TVS prototype on it.
AT 23 lbs we were at 675/668 with a mild tune and a mix of race gas.
We didn't have any more race gas but Justin said 700+ will be easlily obtainable with more octane. The production model will be done in the near future.
We are very excited about this project.
Here are some CAD drawings.

I was hoping you would chime in over here Senkak! Senkak is the one on SVTP who has been testing and giving all the guy's on svtp updates on the progress of this. He was lucky enough to be the one who got to do alot of test & tune on this unit. Another great option for a blower for Eaton swap guys!!! Come on Doom you could be the 1st to try one on a Marauder!!
I was hoping you would chime in over here!

You guys saying 600+ rwhp and 20% drive train loss are wrong. The rwhp reading takes into account the loss (let's say for a stick) so the difference between auto would be 3-5%. ;)

We almost stopped the project due some big road blocks.
Every week we get emails and PMs asking when this will be ready so we pushed on.
The one piece case, OEM reliability and serious power potential will make this a very popular upgrade.
I will continue to update over here and things progress.
Thank you for your interest!

Racer, You know like Zack always says and is right anything on our cars but same mod as a termi its always about 20% less auto to stick and other drive train loss factors. Look at my SB the same thing on a termi wouldve been 600-620 ish and on mine its 545??
RacerX

It's up to a 20% difference from crank to rear wheels on an auto and up to a 15% difference from crank to rear wheel on a stick. So taking the max, 15 and 20, if you take a measurement at the rear wheels in a stick, taking into account the 15% drive train loss, you don't add another 20% for an auto, that'd be a 35% loss!!!
Mach 1 stick @ 360 crank is about 306rwhp
Marauder auto @ 360 crank is about 288rwhp

You are correct sir.
Mach 1 eaton swaps make about 450rwhp, if a Marauder Eaton swap made 20% less it's power would in the 360rwhp range.
Wonder if I would be able to put my trilogy inlet plate and back elbow on it? :D

Elbow, no. Trilogy is unique in that aspect. Plate, not sure, but, doubtful. If the TVS is optimized, I don't think I'd worry too much! Jake, 600+rwhp and you want even more, huh? :D Yeah, we all do!!!

Judging by the CAD drawing it looks like they made there own case similar to the eaton where the blower plate is built into the blower case.

Is the plate you are referring to an adapter plate for the blower to the Marauder intake?
We designed the VMP TVS to be a direct bolt on for the Terminator.
It is set up like a stock Eaton M112 with a one peice case and removeable inlet.
This makes it easy to install and access the vacuum lines on the back of the blower.

Thats what Blown3.8 and I were thinking it's just like the Termi Eaton M112 verse how say a whipple is, having a lower plate. For the folks like myself that do a eaton swap we just use the 03-04 Termi lwr intake. The blower others refered to was a blower package built by Trilogy Motorsports I myself am not that familar with the Trilogy and what lwr it uses..

Thanks for the info.
I'm not very familiar with Marauder upgrades.
The VMP TVS bolts right on the Terminator intake manifold. The stock terminator intercooler bolts to the bottom of the TVS.
The prototype I am currently running uses a generic TVS 2.3 head unit with an adapter plate to bolt to the Terminator intake manifold.
We didn't want to have any worries about warpage using an adapter plate set up on the production model.

Hmmmm, straight bolt-on to the OEM lower intake manifold and intercooler? Sounds real interesting. Gonna have to keep and eye on this.

About two plus years to get to production.
About the only thing you may squeeze any extra ponies from this is porting the lower. It only gained a few ponies in tests from Brian at Posi with his ported lower, but, when you're moving this much air, you may find an extra 10 to 15.
