The right wiper rests too high. How do I lower it?

Captdavid: I had the same problem. I had the dealer do it when they re-buffed the hood. Switched to bosch blades, they work better.

Bigdogjim. I have same problem with right wiper sitting too high and I took it to the dealer and was told that there is no way to adjust; that they are supposed to be like that. I guess I was lied to. Do you know exactly what your dealer did to adjust ? I was told that if it was lowered it would not reach the center overlap. Is it possible to post a picture after your adjustment (so I can cram it in my dealers face) Thanks, Smokie.

Same problem here, with the same dealer response. Is it intended this way, or not? Can't see the blade from the passenger seat, but it sticks up over the hood and kills the clean lines. Anyone have a "normal" right wiper blade?

My dealer had no problem adjusting my right windshield wiper.I don't know what they did,but I believe they reset the arm to the wiper moter to increase it's down travel? They called it return to park position. It's been fine ever since.

Hey SergntMac have those Blue Island boys call Terry's in Orland Park,if it's to much for them you could go there yourself. The last time I took my car in they gave me a 03 GM for the day.Boy it's hard to belive there the same car.

Thanks for the tip!

Is Terry's easy to deal with in regards to mods? I may need a back up dealer that is as understanding as my guys at Napleton. I don't usually ask for a loaner because I have a beater, but I have, and Napleton has been very generous with me. Customer for 15 years and 5 cars, has earned me some considerations I'm cashing in on now.

Tell me more about your tint? Like how much, and where? Does your 33% keep us within Illinois' specifically unspecificed legal requirement?

I'm considering a few visual mods too, like painting over front and rear ornaments, as well as the window trim, with a high gloss and durable black to match the paint. Have also considered "black chome," but I don't think the metals involved would survice that process. I also want to add the rear bumper decal mentioned in other threads here, but in the black reflective color, only visible in the headlights donchano...

Any thoughts of your own?

Thanks again, see ya out there.

SergantMac:
I have painted out the grille emblem and its looks great, makes the car look wider...Also did the trunk emblem, but could not remove it for painting so was kinda a pain in the a.., need to give it a second coat of paint...Thought of powdercoating the window trim, but I'm sure its plastic which cannot be powdercoated, so will probably leave it alone. Let me know if you do yours and the results...
Thanks, Ed

Late to the party again,
but both my wipers lay down like faithful dogs when not in use.
