On Friday my heater "tube" (hose) from the heater core to the cross-over rusted and I ran hot, fortunately I was only 2 miles from a dealer and picked up the part and replaced it. After I was up and running I noticed a knock that sounds like it is coming from the throttle body area, maybe the upper intake. It seems like I suffered a little power loss (could be my imagination though I used my stethoscope to try to pin point it. Any advice woulld be welcome. Feel free to email me. Well, it has been a couple months since I posted my problem and as it turns out, the crank or rod bearing of cylinder 2. Ford is replacing the motor as I did have their ESP.

It was not from overheating, I recall that when I aquired it that I always heard a light knock when I would back into my garage. It did not knock in drive only after reversing and idle after reverse. I changed the oil and took a 500 mile trip and never heard it anymore until it started knocking a couple months ago.
